Faruq Atallah woke to the sound of crunching leaves passing the front of his tent and carefully peered out through the flap.
'Where is he going?' He watched as Private Ackerman paused outside of the Corporal's tent and appeared to hesitate before entering, lifting his hand behind his back.
As his hand lifted the back of his vest, Faruq caught the bright flash of a gun holster.
'Is he going to - I knew it! I knew there was something off about him.' Faruq quickly dressed and paused at the flap of his tent, glancing down at their weapons supply. He lifted a small incendiary device and crept forwards in the dark.
Before Ezra caught sight of the familiar pair of sapphire eyes he thought that he had fully prepared himself, but as soon as the sweet angelic face broke out into a breath-taking smile, Ezra was unprepared for the intense wave of hatred and loathing that twisted his stomach in disgust.
