"Well... You did good. ", the God clapped his hand gleefully.
Then he waved his hands in a circle, and soon a miniature Earth appeared before us. Before I could ask what was he doing, the world that was normally rotating on it's axis stopped.
Then he waved his hand the opposite direction, which made the world to rotate on the opposite direction.
I was confused. And probably the God guy understood that. Because he spoke in a nonchalant manner, "Turning back time is burdensome. You have to wave it too much. "
'Was this what he considered is troublesome?', I thought.
I guess he heard it too, because he shrugged his shoulders immediately, as if he meant to say, "Fk dude. It is for me. "
I just looked at the planet rotating at a quick pace with every passing second.
Then just as it had started, the world stopped.
Then the God guy did something and then he looked at me and said with a smile, "It is all done. Now you can live however you want. But I have a single condition. I hope you would do that. It would be to repay my favour. "
It was kind of like a scam. Probably. I could sense it from his words, but I played along, and I asked, "Sure man. What is it?"
He said, "You have to wreck havoc now. Doesn't matter who you kill or what you do. I want this world to be in chaos. I would even unlock your powers fully. You would be Thor in his prime. Almost nothing could stop you. Obviously the superhumans would be powerful too. But you have a good physique and powers, and it would just improve and you would get new powers from the system. So I think it would be easier that you could imagine it being. "
Was this too much he had asked for?
No. In a world which had powerful humans, though lab made, but evil seeped every corner of this world. And if I wanted to live peacefully, I would have to be evil too. I had recognised this from living for this many months in that world.
But now, I have no worries. I would just live however I want to. But obviously there would be the problem of homelander. Although I would have the peak power that this world would allow me to have, but homelander and others would be powerful too. But I would get powerful with time. So nothing much to worry.
But this is an opportunity.
My eyes twinkled as a cunning smile flashed on my face.
"God man, what you are asking for isn't easy. So I would want a small adjustment to the system. It wouldn't be much just two simple things. "
God guy frowned but then he said, "Continue. "
And that I did.
My wish was simple. Task giving system was kind of boring and time consuming. Instead how about a system that would give me a coin and I would get a roulette or something similar to that to spin and I would get the powers. That'd be classic. Right?
And God agreed.
He said, "That's easy. I thought you were gonna ask for something crazy. You don't need to complete tasks. But by the end of each day, you would get a coin. And you could use that to spin a wheel or something. And that'd be the source of your powers. But beware, there wouldn't just be powers in that wheel. "
I agreed without a second thought. I am not losing anything. Why would I even hesitate?
Then God guy said, "Then off you go man. I don't have time to play now. "
"Hey wait a minute. Just one last thing that I need. ", I yelled out, before God guy could vanish or whatever he was to do.
"You have used up all your wishes man. What else do you want? ", God spoke in annoyance.
I spoke, "My name. I want to start anew. Would you help me with that? It would be best if I had an identity in that world. Not the characters of that universe, you get it?"
The God guy sighed and said, "Alright. Choose a name. But this is the last wish. Never would I ever grant your wish again. "
Did I go to extreme?
"Thor Anderson ", I said.
"Weird name to chose I'd say. But whatever your name your wish. ", God spoke without any care.
Thor because my powers were of Thor. So it would be best that way.
Anderson because I like the ring of it. Thor Anderson.
"Well done. ", God said.
"Are you sure? Won't I be reacting to my old name. Not Thor?"
"You won't. ", God replied.
"How do you know?", I asked.
"Because I am fking God. And what about you? You are just a puny bastard who thinks he can come and ask away everything he wants. Ain't it right Thor?", God spoke in anger.
"That's not fair man. Although... "
"Well, you did react to your new name. So it is done. "
"Huh?", I was confused to what was going on. This guy was just angry a second ago.
"Chill out. It was my way to let you know that my powers work just well. So you shouldn't take care of that. "
Then he waved his hand, and I was lying on a bed in a room.
It was a new room. An unfamiliar room. I stood up from a bed, upon which I was lying.
Then slowly it came to me. The past me of this world had lived similar life to how I lived once.
But here although he had no family, he studied and rented an apartment and lived there alone. That apartment being this one.
And I am unemployed as of now. Just great.
So how am I supposed to do what I want?
I felt for the familiar sensation as I stared at my fingers.
Sure enough.
A spark of lightning, danced in my fingers.
I have the powers. That's good.
That's when I heard the sound.
