Hearts' face twisted with anger as he watched the Seed of the Universe vanish. No matter how hard he tried, he could no longer sense its presence.
"Ragusu, where is the Seed of the Universe?" he demanded, his voice sharp.
"I…I don't know!" Ragusu stammered, her pale-blue skin flushing slightly. "I was suddenly ejected from it by some invisible force!"
"Invisible force?" Hearts clenched his fists tightly, his fiery gaze locking onto Goten, who hovered calmly in the sky. His anger flared as he addressed the young Saiyan. "Goten, where is my Seed of the Universe?"
Goten casually touched his nose with his right hand and shrugged. "Seed of the Universe? I have no idea. I just touched it, and it disappeared."
"Stop lying to me!" Hearts roared, his teeth grinding in frustration. "You'd better hand over the Seed of the Universe, or I will destroy your Earth!"
"Are you threatening me?" Goten's tone turned icy, his gaze sharpening.
"Yes, I am threatening you!" Hearts snapped.
BANG!!!
Before Hearts could say another word, a blinding white light flashed behind him. His body was launched out of the atmosphere at a speed far beyond the speed of light. The suddenness of the attack left everyone stunned. They barely registered what had happened before realizing Goten's body was now radiating an intense silver-white aura as he descended to the ground.
"Kakarot…" Vegeta muttered, his voice trembling slightly. "What just happened?"
"I… I don't know," Goku replied, his eyes wide in disbelief. "I didn't expect Goten to be this powerful now."
Universe 7 – Destruction Realm
Whis, observing the battle on Earth through his crystal ball, furrowed his brow. Goten's display of power had piqued his interest—and concern.
"That attack…" Whis mused aloud. "It's at the level of an angel."
Although Whis' brother, Merus, was considered strong as a quasi-angel, there was still a notable gap between quasi-angels and true angels. Angels possessed unparalleled combat power across all universes. Even so, Goten—a mortal—had demonstrated strength rivaling that of angels, an extraordinary feat for a mere seventeen-year-old.
At this rate of growth, Whis thought, Goten could potentially surpass his father, the Grand Priest, in the distant future. However, he dismissed the notion just as quickly. Zeno could still erase anyone with the flick of a hand, no matter how powerful they were. Even Goten's abilities wouldn't change that.
Outer Space
Hearts' lifeless body floated aimlessly, his head tilted unnaturally to the side. The sheer force of Goten's earlier attack had fractured his neck, leaving him unable to breathe. His energy faded into nothingness.
"Hearts!" Ragusu's expression turned to one of horror as she realized Hearts' Ki had disappeared. The reality sank in—Hearts was dead.
Back on Earth, Goten's cold gaze swept over Ragusu, Kamin, and Orin. "Who else here wants to destroy Earth?" he asked, his voice steady but sharp.
The trio exchanged uneasy glances, their confidence shaken. Though they were formidable in their own right, Goten's display of power had crushed their morale. Even standing against him seemed unthinkable.
Before they could respond, Fused Zamasu stepped forward, his expression full of disdain. "Don't be afraid of him!" he barked. "He's just one person. If we attack together, we can overpower him!"
Goten chuckled darkly. "Zamasu, you've sunk so low, and yet you still speak such nonsense."
Zamasu's words stirred Kamin, Orin, and Ragusu from their hesitation. They had already known the risks of following Hearts; turning back now wasn't an option.
"Let's go!" Kamin yelled, charging forward.
"Right!" Orin and Ragusu nodded, following her lead. The three rushed toward Goten from different angles, determined to overwhelm him.
But Goten was faster. In an instant, he appeared in front of Kamin. Before she could react, a sharp pain shot through her abdomen. She screamed as her body plummeted to the ground, creating a small crater upon impact.
Goten didn't stop. He dashed toward Ragusu and Orin with breathtaking speed, knocking them both down within seconds. The battle was over almost as soon as it began.
"Wh-what is this?" Fused Zamasu stammered, his confidence giving way to panic as he saw his allies collapse one by one. He barely had time to think before Goten appeared behind him, his hand glowing with a small sphere of energy.
"Hakai," Goten said calmly.
The destructive energy consumed Zamasu, his screams fading as his body disintegrated into nothingness.
Goten exhaled deeply, letting his silver-white aura dissipate as he returned to his normal state.
Trunks, who had been watching in stunned silence, finally found his voice. "Go-Goten," he said, walking closer. "What… what is your current level of strength?"
Goten smiled faintly. "I'd say it's close to Whis' level."
"Whis?!" Trunks gasped, his eyes wide in disbelief. Whis, the angel who trained Beerus, was an unfathomable force. For Goten to claim he was on that level was almost too much to comprehend.
"It's just an estimate, though," Goten added casually. "I've never actually fought Whis."
"Estimate…" Trunks mumbled, feeling an odd mix of admiration and frustration. He couldn't help but compare their progress. Born just a year apart, Goten had reached heights Trunks feared he might never achieve.
"I want to train under you, Goten!" Trunks declared suddenly. "Please take me as your apprentice!"
"Apprentice?" Goten laughed. "You really want me to be your master?"
"Absolutely! It's not every day you get the chance to learn from someone like you."
Gohan, meanwhile, turned his attention to the subdued Kamin, Orin, and Ragusu. "What should we do with them?" he asked.
"Send them to the Galactic Prison?" Goten suggested.
"They might not even be from this timeline," Gohan pointed out.
"In that case," Goten replied, his tone darkening, "why not eliminate them?"
"That seems… extreme," Gohan said, glancing at Goku and Vegeta for their input.
Goku spoke up. "Let's send them to the Galactic Prison. We might be able to learn something useful."
Gohan nodded in agreement, and they contacted Jaco to arrange for the trio's imprisonment.
Meanwhile, Elsewhere
Fu, who had been observing Earth's events from the shadows, was seething. The loss of the Seed of the Universe was a significant setback. But despite his anger, one thing was clear: Goten's strength was far beyond anything he had anticipated.
