Yet Ikem paid closer attention to the implication lying beneath the messages.
The shark man had sent a warning that we will eat her, we for multiple; meaning they were in large number. And the passerby he meant where not those Ikem referred to, Ikem had the feeling that it was hinted at his classmates above.
The Sharkman was sharp, and had a keen intellect; instantly grasping at his lie, plus he was unremarkably powerful.
At a level that it almost deterred Ikem from daring to escape.
But he shrugged those thoughts aside, clearly unwilling to give up.
"How strong are you?" he asked instead.
"Strong enough" was the reply, the pace at which they moved increasing rapidly.
"Do you like eating powerless prey, those greatly weaker than you?" Ikem posed.
The shark man's response was curt:
"No"
