Her breathing grew labored, her chest rising and falling rapidly, the silk of her robes clinging to her skin as heat pulsed through her. "Yes…" she managed, her voice trembling but earnest. "You have a point."
Arkanos's smile widened, slow and knowing, his eyes glinting with amusement. "So, what is it you want, oh sweet Isode?"
Isode bit her lip, hard enough to draw a faint sting, her hands twisting the amulet until the chain dug into her fingers. "I want… to do it with you," she said, her voice barely audible, eyes darting to the floor.
Arkanos chuckled, a rich, warm sound that echoed softly in the hall. "You're going to have to be more specific than that, my dear."
