Bianca lived her life catering to her children and waiting for Erickson to come visit her whenever he could, which was often enough for her liking. Because of this, she never questioned her decision not to use her degree in civil engineering, which had been her passion since childhood.
Instead, she woke up early and made sure all her children were well-fed, wore ironed clothes, brought their homework or school projects, as well as books to read in their spare time. They rarely liked the books offered at their library, so she went out of her way to buy them the books they wanted.
She'd drop them off at school, then go and clean the family-sized apartment, then go grocery shopping—which was her favorite thing to do, besides looking at the collection of clothes she'd walk past on her way there.
