This was not the woman he fell for; this was someone else entirely, and Jordan felt it—dread, regret, anger, anxiety, curiosity, and fear—down his spine. Filling his mind with blinding rage as he looked at this woman from where he stood, openly mocking Mina, humiliating her even more.
He stepped forward, gently pushing Mina aside before looking her in the eyes.
"I guess you were always too much of a coward to leave your comfortable marriage," Kiara said, her eyes gleaming with giddiness and a tinge of sadness, her finger placed gently on his cheek, drawing a path over his jaw. "Pity, though. I so enjoyed our nights together," she whispered.
Jordan stepped back. "You... you don't love me."
Kiara looked at him with an ugly, mocking expression, mimicking his tone. "You... you don't love me," she said bitterly. "Why are you so surprised? You think a cheater like you is deserving of love?"
