During this critical period, the two Jinchūriki hidden deep in Iwagakure were discovered and then captured after a fierce battle.
This happened when Onoki was in the capital, suggesting that those in the shadows had been anticipating this moment. Although there were some complications in capturing the two Jinchūriki, the mission ultimately succeeded.
The report from Iwagakure indicated there was only one person on the opposing side, and his identity was confirmed as Hyūga Iroha, a rogue shinobi from Konoha.

Onoki was nearly furious; having his Jinchūriki abducted was an intolerable offense.
