Chapter 169 - Chapter 169: Lord of Darkness, The Devil

In addition to the Lord of Light and the Lord of Titans, other gods also began creating their own races.

In a place within the Chaos World, storms raged endlessly, with howling winds that carried the essence of chaos. Any ordinary demon god entering this domain would be torn apart by the violent tempests.

This place was Stormwind City, the domain of the Lord of Storms.

At this moment, a Storm Titan was born from the city of storms. It was created from the blood of the Lord of Storms, and intricate storm runes covered its body, granting it the ability to command the power of the tempest. Wherever these storms passed, gales and hurricanes followed, bringing forth calamities akin to the end of days.

In another part of the Chaos World, an endless expanse of ice and snow stretched across the land, forming a boundless frozen continent where blizzards howled year-round, and frigid storms raged ceaselessly.

This was the City of Life, the domain of the Lord of Ice and Snow.

From this world of ice and snow, countless frostborn creatures emerged, born with the ability to control the elements of ice and cold. Their very breath conjured blizzards, and wherever they went, all was frozen solid.

Elsewhere, in a sea of thunder, boundless energy gathered, forming an endless ocean of lightning.

This was the domain of the Lord of Thunder. Every drop of water in this sea was infused with pure thunder essence, radiating destructive power. Any ordinary being foolish enough to enter would be shattered instantly.

From this stormy abyss, creatures of lightning emerged—some with wings, crackling with energy, while others swam through the electrified currents like great whales. Though their forms varied, they all shared one thing in common: an innate connection to the power of thunder, their bodies inscribed with dense runes of lightning.

The Chaos World also held vast lands of dark yellow earth, where no vegetation grew, and towering mountains loomed over an endless desert of golden sand.

This was the domain of the Lord of the Earth.

A great change swept across this barren world as the mountains themselves seemed to awaken. Giants of stone, Hill Titans and Rock Titans, arose from the very land, their bodies infused with the essence of the earth. What were once lifeless boulders were now given souls by the Lord of the Earth, birthing an entire race of elemental titans.

Elsewhere, the Chaos World burned with an infernal glow. Countless volcanoes erupted, spewing molten lava, and rivers of fire carved paths through the scorched landscape.

This was the domain of the Lord of the Furnace.

From the heart of this blazing world, terrifying creatures of flame were born, their bodies composed of living fire, dwelling within the lava and feeding on flames.

At the same time, mighty Dwarves emerged. Though they were shorter than other titans, their frames were packed with dense muscle, brimming with unparalleled strength.

With hammers in hand, they ceaselessly struck steel upon anvils, forging weapons of immense power. Amidst this fiery realm, cities of iron and stone rose, where countless ores were smelted in great furnaces, reshaped into armaments.

It was clear that the Lord of the Furnace was a god devoted to the craft of smithing.

But even these mighty gods were nothing compared to the most terrifying and enigmatic presence—the Lord of Darkness.

His domain was The City of Darkness.

Shrouded in eternal shadow, no light existed here, as if it were the depths of a black hole. Any demon god who entered would find themselves blind, unable to perceive anything through sight alone.

To survive in this realm, one had to rely on extreme perception. As a result, the creatures born here were highly attuned to the presence of others, making them the deadliest assassins in all of Chaos.

Yet now, this region was not only infused with pure darkness, but also with the corrupting forces of decay, abyssal energy, evil, slaughter, and bloodlust.

It was as if this land of darkness had transformed into an abyssal world.

At its very center lay an Abyssal Sea of Darkness. Each drop of its waters contained immeasurable dark energy—just a trace was enough to consume a demon god, dragging them into an inescapable abyss of corruption.

Clatter—

From the abyss, shadowy wraiths emerged, drifting silently through the void. They were formless, soundless, and invisible—ghosts of pure darkness that no physical force could harm.

These were creatures born from the cracks of darkness itself.

"Lord of Heart Demons, are you certain that these creatures can become the strongest in Chaos?"

The Lord of Darkness spoke.

"Without a doubt," the Lord of Heart Demons replied with a sinister smile. "The power of your darkness combined with my Heart Demon essence makes for an unstoppable force."

His eyes gleamed with malevolence. "These beings are born from the worst states of existence—the embodiment of negative emotions within Chaos itself."

"I call these creatures Devils—the most wicked of all demons."

These Devils were formless, unseen, and unheard. They fed upon the negative emotions of living beings, parasitizing the cracks within their hearts. Once a creature succumbed to its inner darkness, these Devils would seize control, devouring their hosts entirely.

"Imagine this," the Lord of Heart Demons continued, "these Devils infiltrate the races created by other gods. On the surface, they appear as loyal believers, but in reality, they are our followers, silently siphoning away the power of faith."

"They will wear their skins, speak their words, and steal their faith. They will devour them from within, replacing them entirely. And once that happens, who can oppose us?"

His voice dripped with confidence. "Given time, even the Lord of Chaos City will be unable to match our combined power. We will become the true rulers of Chaos."

The Lord of Heart Demons and the Lord of Darkness had joined forces, birthing the most twisted creatures of all—the Devils, the embodiment of corruption and deceit.

"Hehehe… the most wicked demon?" The Lord of Darkness chuckled darkly. "An excellent name. Together, we will become the strongest."

But as he laughed, the Lord of Heart Demons silently sneered in his heart.

"Fool. The one who will become the strongest is me, not you."

"You are merely nourishment for my ascent. Grow stronger, Lord of Darkness. Become the best prey for my Heart Demon… and when the time comes, I will replace you."
