Seeing that his goal was achieved, Luo Bai didn't say anything.
This time, instead of signing a contract, he directly set up a massive magic circle across Ego's planet.
This magic circle was linked directly to Luo Bai.
Through it, Luo Bai could effortlessly absorb the divine power of Ego's planet.
Not only that, but every movement on the planet would now be under his constant surveillance.
With this magic circle in place, Luo Bai had nothing to worry about.
After finishing his setup, Luo Bai smiled and said, "I'll leave this energy array here. God Ego, I look forward to our cooperation."
"..."
Ego forced a bitter smile and responded, "It's… a pleasure working with you."
The moment Ego finished speaking, Luo Bai vanished from the planet in the blink of an eye.
Ego quickly scanned his surroundings.
Only after confirming that Luo Bai was truly gone did he finally let out a long sigh of relief.
Finally, that demon has left.
Dear gods… who the hell did I offend?!
Originally, Ego had planned to merge with his son and use his power for his ultimate goal.
But now, after what Luo Bai had just done, that plan was completely scrapped.
With his current strength, even if he combined his power with Star-Lord, ruling the universe was nothing more than a pipe dream.
Might as well let my son grow stronger first and then try again next time…
Just as he was considering this—
The magic circle suddenly lit up.
In the next instant, the energy of the entire planet began pouring into it.
Ego: "???"
NO!!
This is too much! What happened to the 'continuous energy supply'?!
You just drained my power, and now you're taking more?! Damn it!
Meanwhile—
Ego was furiously cursing Luo Bai for his insane energy-draining methods.
But Luo Bai had already returned to Kamar-Taj.
After replenishing some energy, Luo Bai no longer felt as drained.
He estimated that the races he created in the dimensional space were almost ready.
Now, all he had to do was fulfill his promise to Odin.
Since Odin wanted to temporarily delay the arrival of Ragnarok, Luo Bai had to start altering the course of events.
And at the heart of this was Hela.
According to the timeline, she should be making her return very soon.
Once Hela was freed, Asgard would inevitably be plunged into chaos and bloodshed.
Since Luo Bai had promised to protect Asgard, dealing with Hela was his top priority.
There was no point in delaying it—he might as well take action today.
While he still had some free time, Luo Bai decided to seek out Hela directly.
Based on his current knowledge, Hela should be sealed in the Kingdom of the Dead.
However, as for where exactly that was, Luo Bai still needed to locate it.
With that in mind, Luo Bai immediately activated his All-Seeing Perspective and searched the entire universe for Hela's location.
Soon, he found it.
The Kingdom of the Dead was still sealed by Odin, making it nearly impossible for an ordinary person to enter.
But for Luo Bai—
It was child's play.
With a simple portal, Luo Bai teleported straight to his destination.
The moment he arrived—
He saw her.
Hela.
She stood there, her gaze locking onto Luo Bai the instant he appeared.
A look of confusion flickered across her face.
Hela, Odin's Eldest Daughter
She had long lost track of time in this place.
For what felt like an eternity, she had been trapped in the Kingdom of the Dead—a place where no living being could enter.
From the moment she was sealed away, she had always been alone.
But today… something was different.
A living person… had entered the Kingdom of the Dead?
Curious, Hela studied the newcomer.
He looked young, seemingly human, yet the aura he exuded was nothing like that of an ordinary mortal.
After staring at him for a while, Hela finally spoke.
"You're the first human to ever set foot in my domain."
Her emerald-green eyes narrowed slightly.
"I'm curious—how did you get in?"
Luo Bai smiled. "Didn't you just see me walk in through the door?"
Normally, if anyone had dared to trespass into her realm, she would have killed them on the spot.
But after being imprisoned for so long, the sudden sight of a living person sparked her curiosity.
She didn't attack him right away.
Instead, she tilted her head slightly and asked, "Who are you?"
Luo Bai responded politely, "Supreme Sorcerer, Luo Bai."
Hela raised an eyebrow. "And what brings you here?"
Luo Bai smiled. "Your father asked me to talk to you."
The moment he mentioned "father"—
Hela's expression darkened.
Her smile vanished in an instant, replaced by a cold, murderous aura.
She hated Odin.
She hated him more than anyone else in the universe.
Upon learning that Luo Bai had been sent by Odin, Hela sneered.
"That old, immortal fool… Seems like he finally realizes his days are numbered."
She raised her chin slightly, her emerald eyes gleaming with contempt.
"I've been imprisoned here for so long… and yet he underestimates me so much that he actually sent you to deal with me? A mortal?"
The gods of Asgard often referred to humans from Earth as mortals, viewing them as weak and insignificant.
And now, a mere mortal had been "sent" by Odin to confront her?
Hela's mockery was only natural.
However, Luo Bai simply shook his head and smiled.
"I think you've misunderstood. I'm not here to punish you," he said calmly. "I'm here to discuss a partnership."
A partnership?
Hela frowned.
A mortal who not only had the audacity to enter the Kingdom of the Dead but also spoke of cooperation?
After a brief pause, Hela let out a soft chuckle and asked, "And how exactly do you plan to cooperate with me?"
"Simple," Luo Bai said with a polite smile. "I free you, you return to Asgard, become a proper ruler, and abandon your ambitions of conquest. Instead, we work together to protect the beautiful Earth—what you Asgardians call Midgard."
At his words, Hela suddenly burst into laughter.
"You? Save me?" she asked, amusement dancing in her voice. "Odin no longer has the power to contain me. I'll be free soon enough. Didn't he tell you that?"
Luo Bai remained unfazed.
"Of course, I know that," he replied, still smiling.
Hela's expression hardened.
"In that case, we have nothing more to discuss," she said coldly. "Go back and tell Odin—when I get out, I will reclaim everything he stole from me."
A burning determination flashed across her face.
"I will become the rightful ruler of Asgard. I will lead Asgard's warriors to conquer the entire universe!"
She still remembered Odin's words from long, long ago—back when she was not yet imprisoned.
"My daughter, Hela. Together, we will conquer the universe."
At that time, she had fought at Odin's side.
And now?
Heh…
Odin had turned into the so-called "King of the Gods," ruling Asgard with kindness and mercy.
And she, his greatest weapon, the one who fought for him, the one who made his victories possible—had been cast aside, sealed away in this endless darkness.
She hated him.
And she would take everything back.
But then—
Luo Bai, still smiling, spoke again.
"I can see your hatred," he said. "But I also think you might be misunderstanding something."
Hela's eyes narrowed slightly.
Luo Bai continued, "I'm not one of Odin's subordinates. In fact, if we're being precise… I should be considered the future ruler of Asgard."
Hela's expression froze.
For the first time, she looked genuinely surprised.
"Ruler?" she repeated, frowning. "You're not even Asgardian. Do you really think he'd make you the God-King?"
Luo Bai said nothing. Instead, he calmly took out a contract and handed it to her.
Hela took the contract and began to read.
As she did, her frown deepened.
At first, she had assumed Luo Bai was merely a lackey sent by Odin to subdue her.
But now… she realized the mortal standing before her was anything but ordinary.
How?
How could Odin have signed such an unequal agreement with him?
