The aftermath of the chaos in Dressrosa was dire. After the fierce battle, the city's young and able-bodied men were either dead or too exhausted to continue. This left the citizens overwhelmed, unable even to extinguish the fires that had broken out, which ultimately burned down nearly half the city.
But Goro, the burly man causing a scene at the camp, was oblivious to these struggles. His focus was entirely elsewhere.
Smirking, his gaze lingered on the curvaceous female Marine warrior in front of him. "Also," he sneered, "I think I'm injured… down there. Why don't you take me for a check-up? And hey, bring a few more female nurses while you're at it."
His crude remark sent waves of disgust through the crowd.
Violet, who had just arrived at the scene, clenched her fists tightly. Her eyes blazed with anger as she listened to his vile words. The Marines came here to help out of kindness, and yet these scumbags dare to act this way?
Her instinct was to rush forward and teach Goro a lesson, but something about him made her hesitate.
Wait… that face… Violet narrowed her eyes, trying to place where she'd seen him before. Then it clicked.
"That's Goro," she muttered under her breath.
Goro was a pirate of some notoriety who had previously caused trouble in Dressrosa. He had been turned into a toy by Sugar and was only released after the events that dismantled the Donquixote Family.
Violet's anger deepened. She knew that Goro and pirates like him were partially responsible for the state of Dressrosa. When they regained their human forms, some pirates had joined the angry citizens to storm the royal palace, but others—like Goro—chose to loot, burn, and destroy indiscriminately.
While she had hoped those pirates had fled the country after their crimes, it seemed Goro had stayed behind, hiding among the refugees.
Meanwhile, Goro's lecherous gaze roamed over the female Marine, his grin widening. "Come on, woman," he jeered. "Didn't you hear me? Serve me, and maybe I'll share some of the treasure I've got with you."
The female warrior's expression darkened, her voice laced with icy resolve. "You want to have some fun, huh?"
Goro, oblivious to the menace in her tone, laughed louder. "That's right! Not just you—I want all the female Marines here! You'll all—"
His sentence was abruptly cut off.
In the blink of an eye, the female Marine who had been standing calmly behind the table was now directly in front of Goro. With one swift motion, she grabbed his face in a vice-like grip.
"You want to have fun?" she hissed, her eyes flashing coldly. "I'll give you plenty of fun."
Before Goro could react, the warrior slammed his head into the ground with enough force to leave a small crater. His limbs twitched briefly before going completely still.
The crowd around them froze in stunned silence.
Poppy, the elite Kuja Island warrior who had delivered the devastating blow, stood up and dusted off her hands with a look of disgust. Her piercing gaze swept over the gathered refugees, her arms crossing as she addressed the crowd.
"Listen up!" she shouted, her voice carrying authority. "We, the Kuja Warriors, serve as the escort team for Lady Hancock and Lord Luffy. We're only half Marines, and we don't take kindly to troublemakers. If anyone dares to stir up trouble again, we won't hesitate to act."
Her words sent a chill through the crowd, but Poppy wasn't finished. She waved her hand and barked an order:
"Get them all! Round up every single rat hiding in the crowd!"
As if on cue, other female warriors who had been stationed discreetly around the camp sprang into action. Moving with precision and speed, they began dragging out those who had cheered Goro on earlier.
The onlookers, startled by the sudden crackdown, quickly scattered, not wanting to get caught in the sweep. Meanwhile, the expressions of the captured troublemakers shifted from arrogance to panic.
