"She has changed so much. Ahh, since when have I seen her last? Hasn't it been two years?" A soft feminine voice asked her companion.
"It has been two years, Elowen," Brittany replied, sitting beside Elowen.
"It's been so long. She's not the Aine who was like a ticking time bomb anymore..." Elowen trailed off and leaned back, enjoying the massage one of her junior sorority sisters was giving her.
They were currently resting in front of the pool located at the backyard of their sorority house, which was a mansion nestled at the edge of the campus. The gentle sound of water lapping against the pool's edge provided a soothing backdrop to their conversation.
"I know, right?" Brittany chimed in, adjusting her sunglasses. "Ever since that accident and when she came back from that trip abroad, she's been different. More composed, more... mature."
Elowen nodded in agreement, her blue eyes scanning the tranquil surroundings. "Do you think something happened during her trip?"
