"Can I bring Youyou along? I've already made plans with her," Jin Mo sent a probing message.
"No!" Tang Yan replied coldly, with just two words exuding a particularly domineering tone, and then added, "If you dare to stand me up and not come down, you better make sure I don't catch you."
Jin Mo was suddenly sweating bullets, feeling like she was the target of a venomous snake.
"Youyou, I'm sorry, but Tang Yan has asked me out to dinner, so I can't eat with you," Jin Mo said, holding Xu Youyou's hand, her face full of apology.
"Alright then, you better hurry along. I won't disturb your date, but you owe me. I want a mousse from the cake shop!" Xu Youyou said with a sly smile, ready to take advantage of being ditched by Jin Mo.
"No problem," Jin Mo agreed readily, it was just a piece of cake after all.
