Valitis carefully stepped into the Mistress's chamber, his footsteps quiet, yet his eyes scanned the room. He had met with her attendants outside, they had informed him that she was resting from her journey. And, as he approached the bed, his eyes spotted her figure, and she felt his presence.
"C—"
"My Lord, forgive my attitude at this moment. I must loosen my hair; the knots are quite tight," the woman said, preempting Valitis's greeting, who on the other hand chose to overlook the perceived slight and asked,
"You returned quite early. Why? Didn't your trip meet your expectations?"
"Not really," she replied. "I felt mostly alone. With Zarvoth absent from his castle and you here, it was a dull day."
Valitis's voice sounded nonchalant: "Okay... A feast will be prepared soon enough—"
"You must know, There's a Dragon in the mountains," she interrupted.
