"I hate adulting," I mutter, every muscle in my body protesting. Last night was amazing, but the morning after? Not so much. And now, I have to drag myself out of bed to make a living. Oh, the joy.
I stretch my arm, expecting to find Jun still asleep next to me, but—nothing. Instead, there's a fresh red rose and an envelope where he should be. I take a sniff of the rose, smiling at its soft scent, before noticing the envelope feels heavier than a typical note. Curiosity piqued, I open it to find a small USB drive with his initials, FJ, etched on it.
His note reads:
"Urgent work call. I'll be back in two weeks. There is an ointment on the nightstand, apply it twice a day. If you feel any discomfort, call Suyin, and she'll write you a prescription. Be good. Don't spoil Bear with too many treats—he's becoming a real-life bear. Take care of yourself and make sure you miss me plenty. Jun ❤️"
