Chapter 26 - The Power of the Protagonist

Extra smiled with a mysterious grin and told Alex, "There is nothing you can do, Alex. The Antagonist is not a being that you can defeat. So forget about saving them. He is invincible in Sinspire, the darkest part of fiction." With that, Extra's voice disappeared, leaving Alex alone with his thoughts.

Alex closed his eyes and began to think of ways to defeat the Antagonist in the eternal darkness. He spoke to himself, "No concept in fiction can defeat him."

After some time, Alex suddenly burst into mad laughter, as if he had gone insane. "HAHAHA! That's the way it is then!" He turned to face the dark orb that was absorbing everything and walked toward it. Without hesitation, he allowed the orb to consume him, erasing his very existence from fiction.

Moments later, Alex suddenly emerged from the shadows in his own house. Blinking in surprise, he heard, "Well, didn't expect that." Looking around, he saw Plot Armor and a mysterious man sitting at a table, drinking tea. Smirking, Alex approached them and sat down.

With a playful tone, Alex asked the stranger, "So, you must be Extra."

The man chuckled and replied, "Well, aren't you a fast fellow? Yes, I am Extra."

Plot Armor looked at Alex with surprise. "I'm quite shocked that you thought of that method. By destroying yourself, you escaped Sinspire."

Extra sipped his tea and said, "So, are you going to recreate all the people the Antagonist kidnapped?"

Alex shook his head. "No, I have a way to defeat the Antagonist."

Both Plot Armor and Extra looked shocked. "Mind telling us, then?" Extra asked.

Alex leaned forward. "Yes, but I need your help, Plot Armor."

Plot Armor hesitated. "I can't help you fight the Antagonist. I quit my job, remember?"

Alex nodded. "I know, but there is a way."

Sometime later, Alex arrived in Sinspire once more. He stepped into the abyss and faced the Antagonist, who had now taken the form of a beautiful man. The Antagonist smirked and mocked him. "Have you come here for your loved ones, or for revenge?"

Alex shook his head. "Not for either. I am here to defeat you."

The Antagonist threw his head back and laughed maniacally, his voice echoing through Sinspire and the Fictional Vortex itself. His body began to shift, morphing into an entity of pure horror, something beyond description.

"Try me, you pathetic being!" the Antagonist roared.

Alex smiled widely and launched a punch. The Antagonist scoffed. "Is that all?" But the moment Alex's fist connected, the Antagonist staggered back, falling into the darkness.

Shock filled the Antagonist's expression. "How... how did that punch damage me?"

He looked at Alex again and his eyes widened in rage. Over Alex, a radiant light flickered, and an astral figure loomed behind him. The Antagonist trembled with fury as all of Sinspire began to shake violently.

"Why?" he bellowed. "Why do you have that power? WHY DO YOU HAVE THE POWER OF THE PROTAGONIST?!"
