He might want the power, but he wasn't the Sasuke from the original story. He had no intention of dying over something like this.
"The Sage of Six Paths should be able to deal with it." Kurama wasn't completely sure. "Otherwise, your only option is to become stronger than the Otsutsuki before they resurrect—just like how you erased Orochimaru's soul. You'd have to wipe theirs out, too."
Naruto gave him a doubtful look. That didn't sound very reliable.
Kurama didn't say anything. After all, this was just a guess.
Speaking of which, how did Boruto deal with Momoshiki's Kāma in the Boruto series? Has it been updated to that point yet?
Sasuke had a complicated expression.
Why was there always something weird targeting his body?
Orochimaru was one thing, but even the Otsutsuki were like this?
With so many people around, why did they have to pick him?
Naruto quickly spoke up, "Don't worry, Sasuke. We can use the Ryumyaku to go back to the Six Paths era and ask the Sage of Six Paths for help. He'll definitely have a way to fix this."
To Naruto and Sasuke, the Sage of Six Paths was practically all-powerful.
"But the problem is, time travel requires space-time abilities. Without them, you won't be able to move through different worlds and will end up being absorbed by the Ryumyaku instead," Kurama said, pouring cold water on the idea. "Also, without the guidance of the old Sage, you'll have no control over when you arrive."
The only reason it worked before was that Naruto carried the Sage's chakra—the Six Paths power. But it wasn't Naruto's own Six Paths power; it was chakra left behind by the Sage to observe the shinobi world, and it contained his consciousness.
Because of that, they were able to pinpoint the exact time to travel back to.
Otherwise, even if Naruto mastered the Flying Thunder God, they wouldn't have a way to lock onto the Six Paths era.
That centipede incident had already proved this point.
Naruto fell silent, unsure of what to do.
"So basically, my only option is to become stronger than that Otsutsuki," Sasuke sighed. He wasn't upset—it was just reality. After dealing with Orochimaru, he was used to things like this.
He turned to Kurama. "How long until that guy recovers?"
"No idea." Kurama shrugged. "This is the first time I've seen something like this. But based on my understanding…"
"It'll take a long time. At least a few years, so you don't have to worry for now."
Isshiki took thousands of years and still hadn't fully revived. Of course, part of that was because Jigen wasn't an ideal vessel, but revival clearly wasn't something that happened overnight.
Hearing this, Sasuke let out a breath of relief. As long as it wasn't happening tomorrow, there was still time.
But there was another problem. Sasuke turned to Naruto. "Naruto, keep this between us for now."
Naruto was surprised. "Why? If we tell Pervy Sage and Kakashi-sensei, maybe they'll come up with more ideas."
"No need." Sasuke chuckled. "Even Kurama doesn't know how to deal with this. I doubt Pervy Sage has ever heard of Kāma. Telling them would only make them worry for no reason."
That was true. Even the Sage of Six Paths didn't know about Kāma. Among those still alive in the shinobi world, aside from Kurama, probably only Isshiki understood it.
Kaguya was sealed, which was as good as being dead, so she didn't count.
Sasuke clenched his fist. Seeing Naruto hesitate, he turned back to Kurama. "Kurama, if I use this power, will it speed up that Otsutsuki's recovery?"
"In theory, no," Kurama replied. (The author isn't sure either since they haven't finished Boruto, so just consider this an AU.)
"Good." Sasuke smiled. "Then how do I control this power?"
Naruto: "..."
Sasuke, maybe think this through a little more first.
Kurama didn't seem too concerned. He thought for a moment before saying, "In theory, it's similar to being a Jinchuriki. When you're in danger or about to die, the Otsutsuki inside Kāma will wake up and help you survive. That's when they'll use the power inside Kāma."
"If you can communicate with Karma or find a way to tame the Otsutsuki inside—like taming a Tailed Beast—you'll be able to use that power."
"Or the simplest way—earn that Otsutsuki's approval." Kurama smirked. "But I doubt Urashiki would ever accept you."
After all, you chased him from the future all the way back to the past.
That being said, the fact that future Sasuke appeared at all meant Urashiki never took over his body, so there was no need to be overly concerned.
Realizing this, Kurama nodded to himself, feeling much less worried.
Then his expression suddenly turned terrifying, his entire presence becoming monstrous as he stared at the two of them.
"Now let's talk about how you two disturbed my sleep."
"Gulp." Naruto broke into a cold sweat. "Kurama, you kind of look like a monster right now."
"Idiot, he *is* a monster." Sasuke rolled his eyes.
Even as Kurama loomed over them with a menacing grin, Sasuke's lips curled up slightly.
The next second, his eyes turned blood-red with the Mangekyou Sharingan.
The power of the Six Paths Yin Force combined with the Sharingan, erupting like a storm.
Huh? You think he's trying to control Kurama?
Nope. Because of the Sage of Six Paths' power, Kurama is already immune to Genjutsu. Even the Rinnegan's Genjutsu can't control him. So Sasuke's real goal in using the Six Paths Yin Power and his Sharingan is just one thing…

Seriously, this isn't Sasuke's inner world. Getting in required Kurama's permission, but does getting out need Naruto's approval too?
No way. Right now, Sasuke isn't strong enough to break through Naruto's defenses and enter his inner world, but once inside, forcing his way out with pure power is totally doable.
Back in the real world, Sasuke opened his eyes and looked at Naruto, who was standing frozen in place, his eyes blank. A smirk appeared on Sasuke's lips.
"You think I don't know that waking Kurama up would make him mad? Naruto, seeing through everything is a basic ninja skill."
"Can you do something like this?"
After saying that, Sasuke put on his clothes, turned around, and walked out of the training ground. His job here was done—why stick around? To wait for Kurama to take control of Naruto's body and beat him up?
Yeah, right. Sasuke wasn't about to stay and get hit.
Naruto: Sasuke! Don't go, Sasuke! If you leave, how am I supposed to live?!
Inside Naruto's mind, Kurama cursed at Sasuke for being such a sneaky guy. Then, narrowing his eyes, he stared at Naruto.
"Why aren't you running? Weren't you going to run?"
Naruto: This is my inner world. Would running even help?
Realizing he had been completely tricked by Sasuke, Naruto let out an awkward laugh and tried to smooth things over.
"I was wrong, Kurama. I was really wrong. I swear I'll never wake you up again, I promise! Cross my heart!"
He held up four fingers as if making an oath.
"Heh~" Kurama let out a cold laugh. "Don't even bother swearing. Even if you held up five fingers, it wouldn't matter."
If I don't teach you a lesson, you'll really think a tailed beast waking up in a bad mood is just a joke!
