"Everything as expected."
"In this Super Bowl, the offenses of both teams will carry the burden, and the real-time tactical decisions of Pederson and Reid will dictate the flow of the game."
"But at the same time, the quality of the defenses will play a critical role. Even if both have their weaknesses, even if neither is perfect, in key moments, it's the defense that holds the key to victory."
"In the opening phase, the offense seizes momentum, but the defense sets the bottom line."
"3–3. The score is deadlocked. Both teams are in peak competitive form. The intensity of the clashes is only going to rise."
In the commentator booth, Collinsworth was practically bubbling with excitement.
Before the game, people kept repeating—over and over—that this was a showdown between underdogs. Even if they didn't mean to, their words carried a hint of dampened expectations, as if to warn viewers:
The Super Bowl might not be as exciting as you think.
But Collinsworth disagreed.
And he was right.
From the opening snap, both teams unleashed their firepower. Offense and defense lit up the field. The game followed season-long patterns, relying on team synergy rather than star power. Even under the spotlight of the Super Bowl, teamwork kept players laser-focused and sharp.
From the first second, the game was breathtaking.
And this was only the beginning.
Collinsworth wasn't alone in thinking so. Veteran analyst Michaels could barely contain his own giddy anticipation.
"From the start, it's clear both coaches invested heavily in pregame prep. Their strategies are playing out just as planned."
"Now, the coaching battle begins. The game's intensity will only climb. The real show is just getting started."
The Eagles offense returned to the field.
Pederson, ever-prepared, once again showed his determination to win.
A short screen pass. Tight end Ertz broke through for 14 yards with raw power.
A fake handoff turned into a run. Blount finally showed flashes of last year's rushing champ form, bulldozing 31 yards through four tackle attempts. His ferocious rushing shattered the Chiefs' defensive front.
The Eagles were pushing hard.
But the Chiefs' defense pushed back.
"Blitz!"
"The Chiefs send five on the rush—brilliant! They tear through the protection pocket, and Foles is instantly exposed!"
"Houston!"
"Houston's chasing—but Foles isn't surrendering!"
"Foles!"
"Oh God—Foles shakes off the sack, still scanning the field!"
"Danger!"
"Another escape! A sharp cut and perfect footwork—he splits the double team!"
"Foles is still looking. Still trying!"
"Houston's back!"
"Wow!"
"Foles throws! The ball arcs beautifully—Houston's just a second too late. That might've been roughing the passer, but Foles doesn't care right now!"
"The football—"
"The football!"
"Incredible! A 21-yard bomb—he went deep!"
"Target—Jeffery!"
"Alshon Jeffery one-on-one with safety Murray!"
"Since defensive captain Berry went down for the season, the Chiefs haven't found a solid replacement in the secondary."
"There's only one Berry, after all."
"Murray jockeys for position—he's trying to disrupt the catch!"
"Jeffery!"
"Beautiful! Jeffery snatches it away from Murray like stealing from a tiger's jaws. He's still going! Murray loses balance, Jeffery breaks away!"
"Jeffery!"
"Alshon Jeffery! A flawless escape! He gains more yards!"
"Red zone! Five-yard line! End zone!"
"Touchdown!"
Oh, Roll—Roll Roll Roll!
The entire stadium erupted into madness, completely losing control.
In stark contrast to the drawn-out first drive, the Eagles showed their explosive potential—three plays, just fifty-seven seconds—
Touchdown secured.
This was Pederson's counterstrike.
Roar.
Pederson didn't go overboard celebrating. He clenched his fist and let out a low growl, his eyes blazing as he stared at his offense. His body radiated confidence and unshakable resolve.
He understood Reid's strength all too well. He remembered the pain of their regular season Week 2 loss. The new and improved Pederson took this game more seriously than ever.
And Reid, in that moment, realized something:
Foles.
Even Reid had underestimated Foles.
Foles had played under Reid for a season, and when Smith was out with a concussion, Foles started two games and won both. Because of that, Reid thought he knew Foles' limits.
Reid is a master quarterback developer. He prides himself on understanding QBs. He was confident he knew what Foles could do.
But this Foles—this Foles wasn't in the playbook.
To Reid, Foles looked like a stranger.
And that—was the beauty of competitive sports.
Sometimes, there's no explanation for a sudden breakout. Like Joe Flacco's magical playoff run in 2012. Not even Flacco could explain how he entered Super Saiyan mode for a month. No warning. No clues. Just dominance—unstoppable.
Then, it vanished forever.
Reid was shaken.
This was only his second Super Bowl as a head coach, after all.
But he was more seasoned than before. He quickly hid his panic and composed himself.
Then—an unexpected twist.
"Oh my God."
"Incredible."
"Elliott missed the extra point. The ball curved wide right."
"This is Elliott's 39th extra point attempt this season—and the first miss. A perfect record shattered on the Super Bowl stage."
Jake Elliott clutched his head in disbelief, knees giving way as he collapsed to a crouch.
Like the Chiefs' Harrison Butker, Elliott was also a rookie. He had lost out in preseason competition, landed on the practice squad, and mid-season got picked up by his current team—a Cinderella story that brought him to the Super Bowl.
Even as a kicker, he worked diligently, hoping to be part of the championship narrative—
Just like Butker.
But now—
He missed. He actually missed an extra point.
In practice or games, he could hit one hundred out of one hundred. But today—on the biggest stage—he faltered.
Elliott was drowning in guilt.
But Pederson didn't scold him.
Because he knew that blaming Elliott was pointless. They would need him again—for PATs, for field goals. Elliott couldn't spiral.
And Pederson also knew—the real cause behind this crack in perfection—
Was Reid.
