Thank You, "Joshua Potter", For Becoming A Member On My Pa'treon. The Emperor Protect.
-----------
In the files of SCP-513, all victims will eventually be tortured to the point of death. Therefore, under normal circumstances, Vale's outcome is likely to be death. However, he has undergone enhancements and has greatly improved in all aspects, so he must be able to withstand it better than ordinary people. But how long that will last, he doesn't know. Because Vale didn't make a sound, the others who were walking in front didn't notice anything strange about him.
They walked silently straight to the end of the circular passage. Brit was the first to take out the nav, check it, and found that there was no warning on it before he opened the metal door.
After the metal door was opened, a "T"-shaped hall appeared in front of them. What differed from the "T"-shaped hall encountered before was that there was a large room in the middle of the hall before them. Two steel halls extended to the exits on both sides.
"What room is this?" Kiwo stretched her head in wonder.
The others also leaned in to look. Brit frowned and speculated, "Isn't it a containment cell?"
As soon as Brit's voice fell, he suddenly froze. Not only him but the others were also stunned. They felt that something seemed to be in this hall, staring at them with cold eyes. That strange feeling was the same as the previous one.
The faces of the two girls, Kiwo and Plumbella, suddenly turned pale. They immediately remembered the invisible humanoid monster they had sensed earlier.
Kiwo subconsciously asked, "Did you encounter that thing again?"
Kiwo didn't say it clearly, but she believed that the others could understand her meaning.
Brit nodded solemnly. "It should be...."
After saying that, Brit looked around, and the silent, dim hall felt extremely empty. There was almost nothing here except for the crisscrossing pipes along the walls.
"There should be something in that room. Everyone put on your Night Vision Goggles and be careful..." Brit suggested softly.
After that, they picked up the Night Vision Goggles and put them on. Once they wore them, the hall in front of them instantly became a blue world, revealing the real situation. They saw two humanoid monsters standing on the left side of the large room ahead, staring straight at them.
When the group saw them, their hearts skipped a beat. This time, however, it was okay because they were mentally prepared, so they didn't overreact. But although they weren't too flustered, being stared at by those two humanoid monsters still invoked an unavoidable sense of fear.
The reactions of the two girls, Kiwo and Plumbella, were particularly pronounced. They leaned tightly against each other, as if they feared that the two monsters would pounce on them at any moment.
RT, next to them, was also a little scared, but he seemed to notice something and said, "Why do I feel that the room is their den?"
Vale, with a pale face, nodded, clearly sharing the same idea. Brit narrowed his eyes and carefully examined the two humanoid monsters.
"It should be their containment room, but the door isn't here. It should be next to where they are standing... Shall we go and check it out?" After Brit finished speaking, the others showed hesitant expressions.
But then they recalled the key point: If they chose to flee out of fear at this moment, how would they face these monsters later? Without understanding their nature, they would essentially be living time bombs, liable to explode at any time. It is better to confront the danger knowingly than to die confused.
Thinking of this, the group nodded decisively:
"Let's go and see!"
"We've got to know what they are, don't we?"
"Let's go!"
Brit nodded and smiled. "Let's go; I assume they won't move..."
So, the group walked toward the two humanoid monsters, their posture suggesting they were preparing for a confrontation. Of course, they appeared calm on the surface, but in reality, all five of them were somewhat nervous. After all, the appearance of the humanoid monsters frightened them; just looking at them made people feel uneasy, let alone gathering the courage to confront them.
But at that moment, the arrow was on the string, and they had to release it. Even if they were afraid, it was worth it. Brit and Vale led the charge, the two girls stood in the middle, and RT held the rear.
They approached the two monsters step by step, just as Brit had predicted; there weren't any movements from the monsters. They just stared straight at the group. As the group drew nearer, the monsters merely turned their heads slightly to observe them.
When they reached this point, the group breathed a sigh of relief, then turned their attention to the room. They guessed correctly; this was indeed the containment room for the humanoid monsters and could also be regarded as their den.
Next to the group was the open metal door of the containment room. On the wall next to the metal door, there was also a corresponding sign:
[SCP-966]
[Object Class: Euclid]
The photo on the sign depicted the two humanoid monsters next to them. Of course, for such monsters invisible to the naked eye, their photos must have been specially taken by the Foundation.
"It's their containment room, and they're not Keter-class anomalies!" Kiwo whispered, sounding a little excited.
So far, the Keter-level anomalies they had encountered were incredibly dangerous. Although the Euclid class was also dangerous, it felt less threatening compared to the Keter class. It was because of this that seeing these monsters labeled as Euclid-level made Kiwo excited.
"It is indeed their containment room... let's go in and take a look!" Brit nodded and then walked toward the metal door first.
Now that they were all here, there was no reason to give up halfway. The others followed suit. After entering the containment room, they discovered that the containment area was divided into inner and outer layers. The inner layer was the real containment chamber, while the outer room served as the observation room. Inside, they found filing cabinets, computers, subs, and various items.
At that moment, in the blue field of vision afforded by the Night Vision Goggles, they spotted a humanoid monster standing in the inner room.
"Everyone be careful!" Brit whispered. He looked out and found that the two humanoid monsters outside had no intention of attacking, which relieved him somewhat. Then, he noticed a file on the cabinet in the room.
The others quickly gathered around. The file was that of SCP-966. After reading the file, the group learned the names of those humanoid monsters.
[SCP-966, Sleep Killer]
[Object Class: Euclid]
