Riding on the backs of the cloned tiger-like Lergobeasts were more than four hundred rogue Tethereds — the rebellion.
There were two Tethereds on a single Lergobeast, so that the ones seated at the back could attack while the ones steering could focus on the path ahead.
Riding at the forefront of this wave of Tethereds were Wukong, Shen and Nimla.
Nimla and Shen both rode with a rogue Tethered, while Wukong rode with Judith.
As they made their way forward, hearts began to beat and blood began to pump with the ferocity of a raging waterfall.
This was it, there was no going back, no other option but to face the enemy head on.
According to Nimla, the Marquis had ordered the Commander — on his suggestion — to destroy all the Way-Points. But while the Commander was carrying this out, those of his subordinates loyal to Nimla attacked. And by some miracle, they sealed off the Way-Point Station, locking themselves in and protecting the remaining Way-Points till the prince arrived.
