It wasn't long before the doctor came out.
"Who is Li Ya's family?"
"I am," Gao Jun promptly stepped forward.
"There's nothing serious, but you must be careful. She is almost 5 months into her pregnancy, so pay close attention," the doctor warned.
Hearing this, both Gao Jun and Ye Xiaowei breathed a sigh of relief.
After sending Li Ya and Ye Xiaowei back, Gao Jun also told Li Ya, "Call me if you need anything."
Li Ya smiled in response, "Don't worry, it's nothing."
Ye Xiaowei kept apologizing, "I'm sorry, Mom. If it weren't for me, you wouldn't have ended up like this."
"Don't be silly, child. It has nothing to do with you. It was just Mom being careless and falling down. Look, I'm fine now, aren't I?" Li Ya stroked Ye Xiaowei's head.
Gao Jun didn't say much more but went home.
