A sense of powerlessness.
The Goddess of Salvation experienced this feeling for the first time. Since the day of her creation, she had never felt such absolute helplessness, a sensation of utter inability to win.
A young girl crouched beside her, laughing sweetly and charmingly, her bright demeanor tinged with mischief. Though she showed no trace of malice, this only compounded the feeling of powerlessness—for this same girl had killed the Avatar Witch with just as little malice.
It was more like a casual whim.
"The challenge is over," the Goddess of Lies said with a faint smile, pressing her index and middle fingers together as she playfully poked the Goddess of Salvation on the forehead. "Now I suppose it's time to claim my reward."
She asked with a cheerful grin.
"Who is your teacher?"
The Goddess of Salvation hesitated, her expression tightening.
