"What beautiful flowers," Xu Nianhua remarked with emotion. The half-wall of wisteria flowers looked just like a floral barrier.
Pei Yining said with a proud face, "These are the wisteria flowers my mother planted, beautiful, aren't they?"
"Yes."
Xu Nianhua nodded affirmatively. It was evening now, the sky not fully dark yet, and the glow of the sunset sprinkled light upon the wisteria, seemingly gilding them with a layer of luminescence.
"Yining, aren't wisteria supposed to bloom in April and May?" Xu Nianhua, amazed, found it somewhat strange after her initial impression.
"Yeah, but, you see, our flowers are well taken care of, so they bloom twice a year."
Pei Yining knew only that these flowers were well-cultivated, but not the specifics. She said, "If you're curious, you can ask Aunt Jin later. She's here every day and probably knows better than I do."
"Let's go, I'll take you upstairs to take a bath. You must be tired after a day on the train, right?"
