The bus meandered along, stopping intermittently and getting caught in a minor traffic jam midway. By the time Xia Lu reached the entrance of the Civil Affairs Bureau, it was already ten past two.
Zhou Mingchen leaned against the car, watching her rush back, his hands stuffed in his pockets as he stood in place.
"Can't you even be punctual for a divorce?" his face showed anger.
Xia Lu could only apologize, "I'm sorry, I didn't expect there to be traffic at noon…"
Zhou Mingchen glanced at her, his tone cold, "Let's go inside."
Suddenly, Xia Lu grabbed his arm, "Wait a moment, I have something to tell you," she looked around, then towards the car, "Maybe we can talk inside the car."
Zhou Mingchen looked at her suspiciously, thinking to himself, Ha! Women are just like this. If you disagree with something, she insists on doing it; once you agree, she messes around with some nonsense, and you can't figure out what she's really thinking.
"Speak," he said, impatiently.
