ONCE THEY jumped into the portal. They were immediately hit with a bright white light.
"What is going on?!" Archibald yelled, but before he could get an answer, they both landed on the soft grass.
"What?" Luella muttered. "What happened? We aren't in the dark void?"
Sitting on his heel, Archibald brushed the grass from his hair and said. "There is only one answer to this. The wind spirit had decided to let us in without leaving us in the void for a long period."
"I see. But, is that a good thing?" Luella asked, standing on her feet. She couldn't even dust the grass off her body, she was already too dirt.
"It could mean they are either eager to see us, or they don't want us here and want us to leave immediately."
"In other words… We might leave early?"
"Possibly."
