"Do you want this?" His voice was low, almost a growl, but there was a hint of something else beneath — something that made her heart skip a beat.

She swallowed hard, her throat dry. The question hung in the air between them, heavy and tangible. 

"I… I don't know," She finally answered, her voice barely above a whisper.

 His lips curled into a smirk, a slow, dangerous smile that sent shivers down her spine. "Liar" he murmured, his voice a deep rumble that vibrated through her. "You want this. You want me."

She opened her mouth to protest, to deny it, but he didn't give her a chance. His hand shot out, gripping her chin roughly, forcing her to look up at him.

"Do you want me to prove it?" He asked, his voice dripping with challenge.

LUELLA GRITTED her teeth. With a clenched fist, she stretched her hands at the raging fire. It stung her like expected, but this didn't stop her though. As if wanting to hold unto the fire and grip it n her hands.


She let out a piercing scream, and Bobbin did the same. It immediately flew to her, ready to pull her out of the fire.


"Stay back… Bobbin!!!" She commanded. The bird shrieked, not wanting to listen to her order.


She scanned her memory from anything in the books Archibald had given her or anything he had taught her.


'Transmutation, mana conduit? No, not that one…' She shook her head.
