Everything has its purpose.
It was a popular saying in my previous life. It held the same meaning as "pre-determined futures". One of the settings in Star Rail, the game that was connected to Honkai's story, was the presence of predetermined futures.
The fourth Cosmic Conundrum, more known as the solitary waves theory.
In simpler terms, futures were predetermined from the beginning. However, there comes a time when an interference occurs. It then derails the predetermined future into an unknown future.
Most, if not all interferences, were caused by higher-level influences, namely: Aeons.
The Cocoon's act of correcting my interference was pointless… at first glance, that is.
It was no longer the Cocoon's will alone that wanted to 'expel' me of this world. The two 'non-interfering' entities, the Imaginary Tree and the Sea of Quanta, supported it.
It was confusing. The two opposing forces joined to deal with me.
What did I do to elicit a big response?
It dawned on me.
"My existence."
The infinite light caused by innumerable mutations created the "greatest achievement" anything had ever seen. Such a ridiculous achievement was stored as the first achievement on the Achievement Hunter. Yet, I was left to believe that…
It was me. I caused something.
Whatever I did had something to do with that.
Naturally…
Clink-!
Crack-!
…I have the corresponding power to back that claim.
The gray background shattered. The Cocoon's nth attempt to trap me inside a space with stopped time failed miserably.
Tick.
After spinning a total of one hundred and eighty-nine times, the pressure exerted upon me disappeared as if it was nothing but an illusion.
The enhanced Adaptation broke its previous limits. Everything I have adapted to remains permanent.
Surprising, yes, but it is a welcome one.
"We have a lot to talk about, Albion. But for now…"
The translucent indescribable light covered my entire body. A portion of it extended outwardly before creating a mountain-sized silhouette.
Roar-!
The majesty of a True Dragon emerged in this foreign land for the first time.
Buzz-!
The surroundings were forced to change. It wasn't a subtle invasion as Aleph did with his Phenomena Containment. The radius of fifty thousand kilometers changed into a boundless field of prairies. The darkness brought by the void covered everything above, forming a sight no humans of this world had ever witnessed.
The world that Albion saw moments before its death was replicated.
Crack-!
Shatter-!
Every single means the Cocoon deployed was broken. It could no longer use its authority to control time. It did not give up easily, however.
Hum.
A pure white dot emerged on its fingertips. Her nearby radius turned into a blank white. From there, it began to gnaw at the prairie built by Albion.
Swoosh-!
The mountain-sized dragon flew over to its side and began a fierce battle.
"It's a good idea to move the battlefield away…"
As early as its initial descent, I noticed its intention of using Earth as a leverage. The Cocoon knew nothing about morality. It was as detached to others as the other Aeons. That was their defining point.
{Result. Three authorities are being used to its limit. The weight of your existence would not be able to bear another one. It is advisable to keep within the limits or unexpected problems may occur.}
Metatron's words confirmed my speculations.
My entire body felt extremely heavy.
It was not a kind of physical fatigue, but the weight of the authorities bore by me.
Complex information beings have their levels too. We do not know a standardized level, but we can still put together pieces of information.
For example, the Aeon of Destruction, Nanook. Its young age logically puts it at the bottom level when compared to older Aeons.
Then there were Aeons like Xipe (Harmony), IX (Nihility), and Qlipoth (Preservation). These should be the ones on the higher-tier, as evidenced by their length of existence as well as experiences during the chaotic wars.
Xipe "assimilated" an Aeon with similar authority to it—Ena. There's nothing to be said about IX. As for Qlipoth, they are one of the oldest Aeons to exist. They bore witness to the fall of numerous Aeons.
My level should be the same as the lower tiers. At the very least, that was how far I could exert my current power.
{...currently operating authorities: Infinity, True Dragon, Spirit King}
Bam-!
Zoom-!
The boundless prairie was greeted by colorful lights. A corresponding prompt then appeared on both Achievement Hunter and the Embryonic Power System.
[...True Ether (New)].
[Achievement Obtained: O' Keeper of Balance]
[O' Keeper of Balance: Summon a being who fights for your sake for the first time.]
[Reward: FATE (One-time Use)]
I chose to focus on the first one.
"True Ether… Phenomena Containment do bring Mysteries."
Since the beginning, I only utilized it as a shield, mainly because I could not use Mysteries. Albion itself told me how it was an advantage to not be limited by Mysteries, and as such, I chose not to use it until the analysis was over.
Albion, on the other hand, was more familiar than I when it came to that. This was the reason why I called it out.
True Dragons in Fate did not rely on typical fire breaths and the likes, but their natural affinity to manipulate magical power—in turn, mysteries.
Shatter-!
Bam-!
A literal mountain was broken by pieces of white light. Albion circled around it before letting out streaks of black light. The sheer destruction it caused was incomparable to what Melusine did.
The black dragon brought nothing but destruction to the prairie it summoned forth—a contrasting sight to behold.
Just then…
"Heh."
Out of nowhere, a thin streak of blue light came from the distant horizon. Its distance was extremely large, thus consuming a part of its power in the process.
Crack-!
A small portion of the blue light separated from the larger one. Immediately, the small blue light dispersed, forming a special field within a few kilometers of its descent.
Sou-!
Crack-!
Another smaller portion separated from it the second time. It acted the same as the first one, creating a "special field" on the place it descended.
Bam-!
A strong power erupted from the distance. My gaze saw the Cocoon's desperate look towards the blue light.
Numerous black slits appeared on the void, attempting to intercept it.
Unfortunately…
Bam-!
…it was destined to descend here.
