Zelkov didn't bother hiding his reluctance to Zina's suggestion, and Zina figured she was being a bit more impatient than was good.
The man before her had discovered that her mother had been alive since three years ago, and yet he still managed to be controlled and levelheaded when they discussed about her.
But Zina on the other hand was far from being the epitome of that kind of patience. Learning about her mother had only activated a different kind of fear in her… and that was fear for her child.
Zina could only think that if her father was truly a monster, then what did that make her child out to be?
The uncertainty of anything at all, and the thought she simply had to submit to fate and wait for whatever the outcome could be like gnawed at her a lot more than she wanted to admit.
Even though she was yet to feel her baby's kick, or any sign that her child was growing in her belly, that didn't defeat the fact that she wanted to protect that part of Daemon in her.
