Sitting on the benches outside, were the children from the entire town. All ages ranging from 2 and up. It was a school, but it also doubled as a daycare to some extent. Why didn't Night Silver leave her children there for a few days instead of the hospital? Well, the school doesn't really do any boarding, the hospital on the other hand already has that set up, a side effect of it being a hospital that has seen thousands of births. They needed rooms and nurses available all the time.
Undine, sat with the five child deities. They sat in the center of the benches, eagerly watching their mother.
"Alright children, to celebrate my children's first full year of life, I'm going to give them a companion. A very special type of companion, a Fae companion like these little guys."
It was then that the first six Fae creatures Night Silver had managed to create, appeared in the air before the children and other teachers. Their cuteness was simply intoxicating to all. Each flew around seemingly without a care in the world.
"I'll create one for Talam first."
The Fae stopped and looked at their mother and creator with a happy look. Each finding a random spot to land. Though, they mostly landed on Undine's breasts… The Fae creatures had a thing for them. However, there were a couple of teachers who got lucky enough to have a Fae land on their breast. Once up close it was clear just how small these creatures were.
"Yay!"
"No fair, I want one too."
"Don't worry sisters." One of the Fae said, laying down on their front, supporting their heads with their hands, their tiny legs kicking in the air, and smiles on their faces. "Mommy is going to make one of us for each of you.
"I wonder how many she'll make this time?" Another Fae said, acting with a similarly happy series of actions as the previous one.
"Pfft, I know she'll make at least 5… I wish I could do it too. I'd love to have been able to make some of you cuties too." Undine said, gently rubbing the happy Fae's heads. "But, my magic doesn't recover nearly as quickly as hers. And even if I managed to make one of you, I'd be rendered asleep for days."
"Huh? But, your magic is going up even now. You'll reach a point where it's possible." One of Fae giggled.
"That's right, Mother is able to wield nature's power for herself. It's impossible to dip below a certain amount of magic power unless she really has to try." The other Fae giggled.
Then there was a clap.
"Alright everyone, I'm going to begin…"
Night Silver then summoned two of Earthen Elementals, and gave them the same instruction that the other elementals had performed before. The elementals looked at each other with curiosity and a moment of confusion occurred before they began to perform the feat. Once the pair of elementals began their fusion process, She prepared to do the next step, but… Something different happened…
"Mommy!" A pure earthen Fae creature spoke, with a firm yet upbeat tone.
"Wait, you… You didn't need my assistance this time? Interesting. I guess I'll have to try this with the air elementals."
"Hmm? I don't know what was different, but I do know you're mother nature, my mother!"
"Pfft, you're every bit as cute as the other Faes. Go on now, and say hi to your brother. The two of you will be good friends."
Once the new earthen Fae appeared in front of Talam, his eyes widened with a loving curiosity as he held his hands out to accept his new companion.
"Hi there brother Talam! I'm your earth Fae, treat me well."
"You're… You're… So cute!"
The Fae blushed, and squirmed bashfully.
"Oh yeah, well you're cute too!"
"MOMMY! Please, I want a pretty Fae companion too!" The four Season sisters eagerly exclaimed.
"Pfft, don't worry my dears, I'll create them for you now. After seeing those two react to each other, how could I keep them from you?" Night Silver said, blowing them a kiss to calm them down.
And once again she began, this time she summoned an air and water elemental. Then repeated the process of their fusion into a Fae creature… Once again, all that was required was the tiniest fraction of mana. And on top of that, it somehow felt like even that wasn't needed. This Fae would be for Geamhra.
And so Night Silver continued this process for Samhra, summoning an Air and Fire elemental. And then for Earra, a Fae made from two Air elementals. And finally for Fogha, a Fae made from Air and Earth elementals.
After repeating this process for a bit, Night Silver was tired. Not exhausted, just tired… She could very easily keep going. But so many high level summons is not something to rely on, nor to continue going crazy with. In the end she only wanted to make five more today.
"Well, I think that's all I'm going to do in regards to summoning." She said, sitting down on a bench. "However, the boons I grant today are not over with. Every child here will get to drink from my breast for 10 seconds. I wish I could give you more time, but this will take up the rest of the day."
The looks of excitement were so adorable, Undine and Night Silver couldn't help but giggle. And the first two children began to enjoy one of the nation's highest honors. The other teachers simply giggled along with the goddesses, until one asked…
"Why did you offer to do this, Mother?"
"That right there, is the reason."
"Hmm?"
"You all call me Mother. And besides, you, the people in this land, have started a tradition like this. I quite like it, so I want to participate in it. If I hear a child's belly rumbling and I can stop it, I will. If I'm able to breastfeed, I'll do that, but if not… I'll get them something to eat."
"Sil, don't you know, if the pregnancy rate continues to stay as it is, the odds of a breastfeeding woman not being around would likely be impossibly low. I can feel I'm only a couple of days away from recovering my ability to do it too. I can't wait!"
The women who have experienced it already, all laughed along, while others asked what it felt like with wide and interested eyes.
