Capone and Sophia turned around, only to see that it was the same woman who had interrupted in the garden earlier!
Now, under the bright lights, they could see her clearly—a slender woman with an air of grace and elegance. It was obvious she had grown up in a wealthy family, accustomed to a life of luxury and the upper class. Proud, yet not easy to approach.
What surprised them more was that she was walking arm-in-arm with Christina, chatting softly and warmly as if they were incredibly close. To a stranger, they might even seem like family—perhaps a loving mother and daughter.
Capone turned his face away and took a sip of his wine. He had no interest in befriending such a stern and stubborn stranger.
Especially with Christina by her side, smiling obsequiously as if they were getting along famously!
"That's my aunt," Howard said warmly. "Come on, I'll take you over to say hello."
