Kain, with the speed and sensitivity of his nervous system at this moment, could clearly feel the feeling as if every muscle and bone was being cut off, where his internal organs stopped functioning, causing his physiological functions to stop completely.
This is the near death state.
But at this moment, not only did his mind not sink into darkness, it was clearer than ever.
Terminal lucidity.
That was the concept that came to Kain's mind to explain this phenomenon.
It could be said that he used [Thunder Flash], combined with Cecilia's fatal slash to force himself into this state.
When all other parts of the body have gone last, the nervous system is the one that moves the most strongly.
And so, Kain felt it, an invisible shield pushing the impact from Cecilia's [Air Slash] away from his body.
