Seph had been meaning to catch a break, and with Tony occupied cleaning up the media storm he had stirred with his Iron Man reveal, it seemed like the perfect opportunity. Things had gotten messy—press hounding him for statements, shareholders causing uproars, and an overload of attention that Tony thrived on but Seph found tedious.
Seph had accompanied Tony to the office twice during the week but quickly regretted it. His presence, charm, and effortless charisma had the female staff flocking to him, much to Pepper's dismay. She had given him a pointed glare when she noticed the attention he garnered, but Seph, as always, took it in stride.
Despite his short break, Seph had unfinished business: a promise he had failed to keep for nearly a month. Life had thrown too much at him, and it was time to make amends.
He dialed Sophia, who had been waiting for their promised dinner date for what felt like ages. The moment she picked up, her tone was a mix of mock severity and playful indignation.
"Oh, now you remember I exist?" She quipped, her voice dripping with sarcasm. "I was beginning to think you'd forgotten my number."
"Sophia," Seph began, his voice low and sincere, "I'm sorry. Truly. Things have been... a little chaotic lately."
"Chaotic?" She shot back, not ready to let him off the hook so easily. "Try borderline ghosting. Weeks, Seph. Weeks. Do you know how many times I've debated eating a pity pizza because of you?"
He winced at her words but couldn't help smiling. She had a way of cutting through his defenses with humor. "I deserve that. I really do. And probably a lot more. But believe me, it wasn't intentional."
"Intentional or not," She replied, feigning exasperation, "you've been downgraded to the guy-who-stands-me-up tier. You know how hard it is to climb out of that category?"
Seph chuckled, appreciating her sass. "I'll climB—whatever it takes. Just tell me how to make this right."
There was a pause on the other end, and he could almost hear her considering how much she wanted to make him work for this. Finally, she sighed dramatically.
"Alright, mister. Here's how this is going to go," She said, her tone shifting to mock command. "First, you're ditching all your hero business tonight—no excuses, no 'something came up.' Second, you're not just fixing this; you're overcompensating. Flowers, dessert, the works."
"Done," He replied without hesitation. "But if it's all the same to you, I'd rather not wait another second to see you. How about I swing by now, and we figure out dinner together?"
"Oh no, you don't," Sophia countered, her voice turning mischievous. "You're coming to my place. That way, if you try to bail, I can personally drag you back."
"Your place?" Seph echoed, his grin widening. "Are you sure you're ready for that kind of commitment? Once I show up, I'm not leaving until I've earned back my spot on the good list."
"I'm counting on it," She replied, her voice softening slightly but still laced with playful defiance. "Seven o'clock. Don't even think about being late."
"Wouldn't dream of it," Seph said, his tone warm with anticipation. "I'll see you tonight, Sophia. And for what it's worth... I've missed you."
Her breath hitched slightly at his words, but she recovered quickly, masking her emotions with a teasing retort. "Good. You're going to make up for every second you made me miss you."
With that, the line went dead, and Seph found himself smiling as he set the phone down.
Tonight, there would be no distractions—just the two of them.

After the call, Seph prepared for the evening. He showered, dressed in something simple yet stylish.
Before leaving, he stopped by to greet Hela, who had been staying next door.
She threw open the door, and before another thought could form, she leaped into his arms with the force of a storm. Her legs wrapped around his waist, her arms around his neck.
Seph, anticipating her wild passion, caught her effortlessly in mid-air, his hands instinctively gripping her thighs and sliding to cup her rear with firm possession.
The instant their lips met, an electric current surged through them, turning the air thick with heat and hunger. His kiss wasn't gentle—it was fiery, claiming her with unrelenting fervor as though he could convey everything he felt in this one moment.
Her fingers tangled in his hair, pulling him deeper into her, and her breath hitched when his grip tightened, grounding her against him like she belonged there and nowhere else.
After a few minutes, they stopped and he got the chance to speak.
"I'm heading out tonight," He said softly.
Hela arched an eyebrow. "With her?"
He nodded. "I did promise her."
Though a flicker of jealousy crossed her eyes, Hela smirked. "Fine. But don't forget—she's temporary. I'm permanent."
Seph chuckled. "I wouldn't dare forget. By the way, why don't you move in with me and Pepper? Or we could just buy a bigger place. There's more than enough room—and money."
Hela considered it for a moment before replying, "I'll think about it. For now, I'm planning a trip to Asgard. Family business."
"Take care," Seph said, giving her another kiss before heading to his car—a sleek black Mustang.
On his way to Sophia's, Seph picked up a bouquet of roses, a thoughtful gesture he knew she would appreciate.
When he arrived, he took in the sight of her charming two-story home. It was cozy, with warm lights glowing from the windows.
He rang the bell, and when the door opened, his breath caught in his throat.
Sophia stood there, a vision of seduction in a low-neckline, short elegant dress that hugged her curves perfectly. Her hair was styled to perfection, and her smile radiated both warmth and desire.
"Wow," Seph said, handing her the flowers. "You look... incredible."
Sophia giggled, taking the bouquet and placing it aside. "And you're just as charming as ever."
Without hesitation, she wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him, slow and deliberate. When she pulled back, she whispered, "I've been waiting for this moment for so long."
Seph was caught off guard by her boldness but couldn't help but admire her confidence. As she led him inside, her hips swayed with deliberate seduction, her dress clinging to her every move.
Sophia glanced back at him with a playful smile. "You're staring."
"Can you blame me?" Seph replied, his voice husky.
She chuckled, taking his hands and placing them on her waist. "Then stop holding back."
Seph tightened his grip slightly, his self-control being tested with every step she took.
Sophia was unlike the composed, professional woman he had first met. Tonight, she was a vision of sultry temptation, her every move designed to unravel him.
As they entered the living room, candles flickered on the coffee table, and soft music played in the background. The atmosphere was intimate, and carefully curated for the evening.
Sophia turned to face him, her eyes filled with a mixture of love and desire. "I'm not the type to play games, Seph. Tonight, it's just us."
Seph smiled, brushing a strand of hair from her face. "You've planned this out, haven't you?"
"Maybe," She admitted with a wink.
Though every fiber of him wanted to give in, Seph decided to take it slow, savoring each moment.
The night was young, and he wanted to make sure it was unforgettable—for both of them.
