The moon was up high in the sky, bathing the world below with its subtle glow.
Lina dropped the last plate of food on the table before sitting down, joining the rest of the family.
Marla smiled. "Alright, let's eat."
Arin smiled lightly as he stared at the food.
Lina was the one who cooked this time, so at least, even though he wouldn't be able to taste the food, he would be able to manage and force himself easier than when Marla cooked.
Godric had a wide smile on his face as he instantly started eating. "Haha! Finally, I can enjoy a proper meal without complaining."
"You know, Marla, I've always wondered why Lina's food always tastes better even though she learned how to cook from you," he added.
Marla hit Godric's arm with a frown on her face. "Enough... I've told you that I'll try to improve my cooking skills."
Their banter continued for the rest of the meal before they all finally finished eating, and Arin helped Lina clear the table.
