A soft weight brushed against my legs as a shimmering silver cat padded towards me. Its fur gleamed like polished moonlight, every step imbued with a regal air that made the orange tabby in my arms seem downright rustic in comparison.
The silver cat paused, tail swishing gracefully, and fixed its luminous gaze on me.
Wow. This one looks like it came straight out of some sacred temple.
"Meow!" the tabby chirped in greeting.
"Nya~" the silver cat replied, its voice smooth, almost melodic. Their tails swayed in unison as if engaging in some feline conversation only they understood.
The silver cat crouched, its haunches tensing. I recognized the telltale signs of a feline preparing to leap, and sure enough, it sprang gracefully into the air, landing squarely in my other arm.
"Whoa! Gotcha!" I caught the silver beauty just in time.
