Cruzer, arms crossed, watched Jean flit from one market stall to the next, poking at anything remotely interesting. Whether it was jewelry, enchanted daggers, or some oddly shaped fruit, she inspected it all with the curiosity of a child.
"You actually gonna buy something," Cruzer asked, "or just touch everything?"
Jean stuck her tongue out at him. "I'm appreciating the craftsmanship."
Elara sighed, her patience clearly being tested as she trailed behind. "She's wasting time."
Jean spun around, hands on her hips. "I am experiencing the city, Elara. Not all of us enjoy being locked away reading dusty old books."
Elara raised an eyebrow. "I'm here, aren't I?"
Jean beamed, linking arms with her. "You are! Which means you're having fun."
Elara just sighed again but didn't pull away.
