Chapter 196 - Chapter 196: T-Bone

The Giant Warrior Pirates were a powerful pirate crew that roamed the seas over a hundred years ago.

All the crew members were giants from Elbaf.

The crew once had four captains:

Arluru, Yoruru, Red Ogre Brogy, and Blue Ogre Dorry.

Among them, Arluru and Yoruru were elders of the Giant Village.

Decades ago, Yoruru was punched unconscious by five-year-old Charlotte Linlin, who yanked his beard. He died not long after.

As for Brogy and Dorry, they each had a bounty of 100 million Berries a hundred years ago.

That means when that guy Lonz was rampaging across the seas with the Giant Warrior Pirates, Whitebeard hadn't even been born yet!

"It looks like you not only know Lonz but might even be quite familiar with him."

Oimo noticed Rorschach's expression and couldn't help but smile.

"We've sparred before, eaten meat from the same bowl, drunk together, and I even learned Elbaf's ultimate technique from him…"

Rorschach grinned and mimicked a powerful punching motion. "Elbaf's Spear!"

"If he was willing to teach you that move, it seems you've earned his recognition, Marine."

Kashii's expression softened as he looked at Rorschach.

Seeing this, Rorschach immediately seized the opportunity and said, "Since you two were once comrades with Vice Admiral Lonz, why not join the Marines with me? That way, you'll be able to reunite with him in the military. Elbaf has always been a respected ally of the Marines, and I believe we can work together with the world's strongest village to maintain stability across the seas."

Upon hearing this, Oimo and Kashii looked somewhat tempted.

But soon, the two giants sighed in unison and shook their heads. "Sorry, Rorschach, but we must decline."

"We made a vow long ago to guard Enies Lobby for a hundred years."

"As long as we stand guard here for a century, the World Government will fulfill its promise and release our captured captains."

Rorschach's eyes flickered, and he sighed. "A hundred years… what a long time. It's rare to see such deep loyalty."

The two giants grinned. "We giants can live for three hundred years. Spending just a hundred years to secure Brogy and Dorry's freedom is well worth it."

Rorschach nodded and looked toward the towering gates slowly opening ahead. Through the gate, a Marine officer with a skull-like, fearsome face was leading a group of Marines in an orderly march toward them.

He smiled at the two giants and said, "Once I've dealt with the Sea Train situation, I'll have Palmer come over to chat with you. For now, I'll take my leave."

"No worries, go ahead, Rorschach."

"Yeah, we have plenty of time. Feel free to visit us anytime. Honestly, staying here all day gets pretty boring."

The two giants waved him off.

Truthfully, they were somewhat moved.

They had already witnessed Rorschach's immense strength.

There was no doubt that his power was beyond their reach.

Even though they were confident in the strength of giants, they weren't arrogant enough to think they could defeat this young Marine officer before them.

And yet, despite being such a powerful Marine, Rorschach wasn't arrogant at all. He spoke in a friendly and easygoing manner.

Unlike those CP9 agents from Enies Lobby, who always walked around with their noses in the air.

Especially that pigeon guy, Rob Lucci.

His face was perpetually sour, as if everyone owed him money.

As Rorschach stepped past the gates of Enies Lobby, the skull-faced Marine officer approaching them quickened his pace with excitement.

With a sharp salute, he said, "Marine Headquarters Lieutenant Commander T-Bone, reporting to Rear Admiral Rorschach!"

"Lieutenant Commander T-Bone, I've heard much about you! I've heard that pirates in the Grand Line call you the 'Ship-Slicing Swordsman,' a master of straightforward swordsmanship. I'd love to see your skills firsthand someday."

Rorschach extended his hand with a smile.

"You flatter me, Rear Admiral Rorschach. My meager skills are nothing compared to yours."

T-Bone was taken aback by the praise and quickly extended both hands to shake Rorschach's in excitement.

When he saw Rorschach's extraordinarily handsome face, T-Bone felt a little embarrassed and slightly lowered his head, as if trying to hide his own terrifying appearance.

Noticing this small action, Rorschach couldn't help but clench his fists.

He would never forget what ultimately happened to this ugly-looking but kind-hearted and justice-driven man who deeply cared for his subordinates.

T-Bone was undoubtedly one of the most righteous and compassionate officers in the Navy.

In Rorschach's view, his sense of justice was even purer than that of Smoker or Garp!

And yet, such a noble and kind-hearted Marine was ultimately ambushed and killed by the very civilians he protected—his severed head taken to the Cross Guild in exchange for a bounty.

It was a slap in the face to the entire Navy.

It was a blatant mockery of justice, a celebration of evil.

And yet, the Cross Guild, led by Buggy, was still freely roaming the New World.

Buggy—who was nothing more than a villain from the start.

He had bombarded Orange Town, despite it being full of innocent villagers.

And yet, thanks to a mix of comedic gags and sheer luck, he had managed to live a carefree life, surviving every danger unscathed.

Not only did he escape Impel Down with a horde of prisoners, but he also founded the Cross Guild, placing bounties on Marines and giving every notable officer a fixed price.

As a result, countless Marines who were willing to sacrifice themselves for justice now found themselves constantly in danger—having to fend off attacks from civilians, pirates, bounty hunters, and even their own colleagues.

Rorschach wanted to know—would Buggy's so-called "Conqueror's Luck" still work when faced with him?

As if sensing the invisible, chilling killing intent emanating from Rorschach, T-Bone looked up in surprise.

"Rear Admiral Rorschach, is something wrong?"

Rorschach shook his head. "I was just thinking… why is it that no matter how many pirates we kill, there are always more? The rampant spread of piracy forces us to sacrifice countless brave Marines every year. Has Roger's so-called Great Pirate Era ever truly brought any good to the world?"

"Ah… Rear Admiral Rorschach, you've said exactly what I feel."

T-Bone sighed deeply, his expression sorrowful. "Roger's final words before his execution turned the world into a chaotic mess. Countless people became obsessed with that so-called 'legendary treasure' he spoke of."

"Young men from all over the world rushed to the seas, becoming lawless pirates who pillaged wherever they went."

"Villages, islands, and even entire nations were left without their able-bodied youth—leaving only the elderly, the weak, and the sick. These places became poorer, weaker, and even less capable of resisting the pirates that ravaged them."

"This only made our duty as Marines even more difficult."

As they continued walking toward the inner part of Enies Lobby, T-Bone suddenly asked,

"Rear Admiral Rorschach, what do you think of Water 7?"

Rorschach paused for a moment, then thought carefully before answering. "A beautiful, peaceful, and safe shipbuilding sanctuary."

Water 7 was a massive floating island, shaped like a giant fountain.

Its magnificent architecture certainly made it a scenic wonder.

It was considered peaceful and safe because it was home to a group of formidable shipwrights who, besides crafting ships, also had the strength to protect their city—the jewel of the seas.

And now, with Rob Lucci and his group infiltrating the city in disguise, Water 7 had become even safer.

At least… on the surface.

T-Bone nodded. "You see, even a place as beautiful and seemingly safe as Water 7 is still targeted by relentless pirates every year. The Sea Train that travels these waters is sometimes ambushed by robbers."

"Even worse, some pirates have blocked the train's tracks, holding it for ransom—threatening to cut the rails unless they're paid off. Such despicable acts deserve divine punishment."

"I am the Marine officer in charge of the Sea Train route between Enies Lobby and Water 7. Over the years, I have personally witnessed many brave and exceptional Marines fall to the blades of these pirates."
