We touched down a few minutes after one o'clock in the afternoon and the family driver picked us up. I nodded slightly to the pilot .

Eleanor was dropped off at her apartment and we proceeded on the journey to the old house.
I left my things in the car and walked into the house.
The parents were both sitting in the living room.

Dad looked back with a shocked looked as though he wasn't the one who asked me to come back.
"You kid, so you still know the way here? I thought you'd forgotten since you don't even make a show of passing by"
"I'm sorry, I've been extremely busy so I wasn't able to come, but best believe you were in my heart all the time."
He made a disgusted expression and aunt Xiu laughed lightly.
"Your dad was so excited when you promised you'd stop by today. He had the kitchen make all your favourite dishes"
My lips curved up in a smile and dad humphed lightly
