The first thing that registered to Amari was pain. She felt like everything was spinning, and she hasn't even opened her eyes yet. Not that she wanted to- however she felt someone tug on her sleeve. She couldn't make out what they were saying, but it sounded frantic, so she forced her eyes open. Through her blurry vision, she saw Milo frantically shaking Alex's and her form. His voice slowly became clearer. "Come on... come on! Get up!" Her eyes snapped open. The sound of battle and clashes reached her ears, and she heard Alex coughing. "Jamie..." he voiced out. She turned her head in the direction he was looking and saw Jamie with blood spattered on her face and her body in a crater on the wall, and as she focused with her now-clear vision, she noticed she wasn't moving. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw the monster jump back to avoid Aaron's swing. She felt like the fog that was in her head was lifting quickly and reached out to grab her spear, which Milo kicked into her hands. Her hands tightened around her weapon, feeling the cracks along it, and she used the spear to pull herself up. Milo reached out to help her up, but she shook her head lightly. "I'm fine, can you help Alex up?" Milo nodded and grabbed Alex's arm and threw it around his neck. As he pulled Alex up, Amari looked around. "Where's sebastion?" She muttered before spotting him running toward them. "Are you all ok?" Milo looked at Alex, then with a sheepish expression, said, "Good enough." Amari hummed, thinking about a plan in her head and scanning the area. "Alright, Milo, bring Alex behind that boulder over there." Milo nodded. "Sebastion, you grab Jamie and bring her to the boulder. I'll cover you, ok?" Sebastion made a noise of agreement. "Alright, let's get this done. Haste." They split up in the opposite direction.
Meanwhile, the monster did a backflip, once again narrowly avoiding Aaron's strike, and as the monster landed in a crouch, he swept a leg under Aaron, who jumped out of the way only for the monster to follow up with a kick to the side. which landed in Aaron's side, causing him to slide to the side a bit however, using his spear's longer reach, he landed a clean slice on the monster's leg. The monster sent a rush of punches at Aaron, who parried and sent back his own attacks.
Amari and Sebastion made it to Jamie's body, and as Sebastion carefully lifts her on his back, Amari puts her hand on Jamie's chest to feel her pulse.
It was there.
Amari nodded at Sebastion, who let out a breath of relief. "Thank god.." he muttered. Amari agreed, "That could have been worse..." and said, "Let's go," before they ran once more.
The monster jumped away from Aaron only for him to follow. Aaron struck once more, the strike hit the monster, sending him flying in the air. Aaron followed and appeared behind him and struck up, sending him to the ceiling, but Aaron didn't stop he jumped up after him, and as the monster was mid-air, he swung once more only for the monster to avoid the hit by twisting in the air and kicking Aaron back down to the ground. Aaron's back collided with the ground, causing a mini crater he rolled to the side, avoiding the monster from landing on him. While in a crouched position, Aaron and the monster attacked at the same time.
When the clash broke, the monster 's fist had a deep gash in it. Aaron followed up with a low swing, which the monster jumped over. Using this moment, Aaron stood up and backed away. The monster swooped around as soon as he landed, sending a kick Aaron's way, who ducked and swung his spear upwards. A deep gash formed as the monster leapt away. The monster raised a hand up to his chest and let out an annoyed grunt at the gash there before....
Running away
Aaron blinked in surprise. "Eh?" He then ran after him, "Hey! Hey, what are you doing? Get back here!" But the monster kept running to one of the many holes in the wall before leaping into one. Sebastion reached out, grabbing Aaron's arm. "Wait! Wait, it could be a trap." Aaron, staring at the hole, nodded.

In the background, Amari, Milo, and a more aware Alex were on the ground. Amari held up Jamie as Milo tried to wake her up. "She's fine, right?" Alex asked, holding Jamie's hand tightly. Milo nodded with a sigh, "Yeah, just passed out." Milo tried snapping his fingers a few times, then pinching her, but Jamie remained out cold. "Uh, do we have water or something?" The group shook their head. Milo sighed and muttered, "Sorry for this." Before anyone could ask what he meant, Milo raised his hand and slapped her across the face. "Wake the hell up!" Alex had a look of shock cross his face before angrily exclaiming, "Hey! What the—!" However, as soon as Milo's hand connected, Jamie's eyes snapped open. "Gah!" "Jamie! Thank God..." Alex let out a sigh of relief as Sebastion blinked, muttering, "Well, that's one way to wake up a person..." Aaron, with a grin on his face, says, "Welcome back to the land of the living!" "Huh?" Jamie voiced, confused. Milo scratched his head sheepishly. "Yeahhhh, sorry for slapping you, here's your weapon, though." Amari nodded. "Yep, so time to catch you up. Rat guy and Aaron fought for a while, then rat guy ran into one of those holes in the wall. You got it?" Sebastion sighed, "This is the reason Mya was worried for you two and not me." Before anyone could say anything else, the ground shook.
