Hirvan lay stretched out on the bed, staring blankly at the ceiling as a wave of exhaustion and frustration crashed over him.
'Who on earth has been spying on me? Can I not have a single day of peace?'
He thought in dismay.
His body was in pain and his thoughts were burdened with depression.
He believed that his new identity would no longer put him in the spotlight. But this clearly said otherwise.
Suddenly, the door creaked open, breaking the silence. Hirvan barely shifted, his eyes flickering toward the sound. He saw Fu Yan peeking in, his face full of curiosity and concern.
For a moment, they just looked at each other in silence.
' Look at him, up and running! And then look at me!'
Hirvan blinked, feeling more downcast.
Fu Yan, seeing that Hirvan was awake, flashed a gentle smile and slipped inside, closing the door softly behind him. His steps were lively, like those of a child who had just received their favourite candy.
Hirvan's lips twitched.
