The next morning, Hirvan was awakened with a sluggish sensation of discomfort, the feeling of a heavy weight pressing down on his chest. His eyelids flew open, and he squinted in the early morning light streaming through the curtains.
It took him a moment to realise that the weight was none other than a leg, Ren YuZe's leg, draped casually across his torso. A sigh escaped his lips as he blinked away the remnants of sleep.
"Still the same, huh?"
Hirvan muttered to himself, a soft smile tugging at the corners of his mouth.
He gently pushed the leg aside, careful not to wake Ren YuZe, who was lying on the bed in a tangle of limbs.
As he sat up, Hirvan couldn't help but chuckle at the sight of his son. Ren YuZe's messy hair framed his peaceful, sleeping face, his lips slightly parted in slumber. For as long as Hirvan could remember, Ren YuZe had insisted on sharing a bed with him whenever he was unwell, and his chaotic sleeping habits had remained consistent over the years.
