Long Chen floated in the infinite void, staring up at the colossal entity whose sheer presence warped space and time.
The Primal Chaos Dragon Sovereign was a being that even the greatest of Immortals or Sovereign level existence in heavens had to respect.
But Long Chen?
He just smirked.
"Oi, big guy! I have a proposal."
The Dragon Sovereign's massive eye twitched. This brat dared to address him like that?
"Speak." His voice rumbled like thunder tearing through the universe.
Long Chen straightened his robes and clasped his hands together. "Great and majestic Primal Chaos Dragon Sovereign, I, Long Chen, a mere speck of dust in comparison to your divine greatness, humbly request to become your disciple—"
"No."
Long Chen blinked. "Wait, hold on—"
"Denied."
"Okay, at least let me—"
"Rejected."
Long Chen sighed dramatically. "At least pretend to think about it, old dragon! You just instantly shot me down! That's no way to treat someone who came here with sincerity."
The Dragon Sovereign growled. "Sincerity? You're the most disrespectful mortal I've ever encountered."
Long Chen grinned. "Thank you! I do try my best."
The Dragon Sovereign's giant claw twitched as if he wanted to smack this human into another dimension.
Long Chen, completely oblivious (or maybe not), continued, "Alright, hear me out! If you make me your disciple, I promise I'll bring honor to your name. You'll finally have someone to inherit your legacy—"
The Dragon Sovereign snorted. "I'd rather my legacy be buried than handed over to a reckless lunatic like you."
Long Chen gasped in mock pain. "That hurt. Truly. Deeply. Right here." He patted his chest. "Your words wound me more than a hundred divine tribulations."
The Dragon Sovereign closed his eyes, as if trying to meditate away the irritation.
But Long Chen wasn't done.
"Think about it. You're old, lonely, forgotten. What better way to be remembered than by having a legendary disciple like me? My future exploits will make the eternity tremble! I'll call myself Long Chen, the Proud Successor of the Primal Chaos Dragon Sovereign!"
"NO."
"C'mon, old man, don't be shy—"
"ENOUGH!"
BOOM!
A terrifying shockwave erupted, sending Long Chen tumbling through the void like a leaf in a storm.
"YOU ARE INSANE." The Dragon Sovereign's enormous eyes burned with rage.
Long Chen dusted himself off. "Eh, I prefer 'charmingly persistent.'"
The Dragon Sovereign sighed.
And then…
SNAP.
The spiritual connection between them was instantly severed.
Long Chen blinked.
"...Wait. Did that old lizard just hang up on me?"
The Primal Chaos Dragon Sovereign ignored him though couldn't smile a bit as he felt a bit luvely since who knows how long.
Long Chen exhaled and looked at the Dragonscale in his hand.
A suggestion came from Dragon Sovereign.
Something... deep within the abyss.
A hidden path.
Trusting the Dragon Sovereign, Long Chen stored the Dragon Scale into his storage Ring (a new one given to him by Yue Xiaoqian) and followed the guidance.
After walking for what felt like eternity (Two whole days), he stepped into a entirely different plane.
And what he saw took his breath away.
A sea of dragon veins.
No—an entire pool of dragon blood filled with
It stretched infinitely, an ocean of raw, ancient power, pulsating with the remnants of dragons that had lived and perished in ages beyond reckoning.
It was at this moment that a voice echoed within his mind.
"When I was but an infant green dragon, I broke through to a blue dragon. In doing so, much blood was shed… not only mine, but those of many."
The voice of the Dragon Sovereign.
Long Chen's eyes flickered with understanding. "So, this is the forgotten inheritance of the Sovereign Dragon Race? A place where the blood of countless ancient dragons gathered?"
He nodded to himself, memorizing every location and marking each point of interest.
This was something that could not be ignored.
It was a treasure trove beyond imagination.
But as soon as he stepped in the place, exhaustion struck him like a tidal wave.
The strain of refining the Dragon Scale's will, and confronting the Karma of meeting the Primal Chaos Dragon Sovereign had drained even his boundless stamina.
His vision blurred.
His body wavered.
And then—
He collapsed into unconsciousness.
But with Yue Xiaoqian's and Zhu Yan's help, Long Chen got uo and proceeded with looting.
With Xiaoqian's assistance, Long Chen returned from the abyss not only victorious but also vastly enriched. Among the treasures he acquired, none were more valuable than the Dragon Scales—ancient remnants of the Sovereign Dragon Race.
Through tireless effort, he subdued the wills within each one, a daunting task even for the greatest of cultivators. There were nearly a hundred scales, each over 20 to 30 meters tall, the size of small hills, carrying a power so immense that ordinary storage rings would shatter upon attempting to contain them.
To manage these treasures, Long Chen obtained three high-grade storage rings, each vast enough to hold an entire mountain.
One ring was dedicated solely to the Dragon Scales.
Two rings with each having space large enough to fill an entire mountain filled with the boundless Dragon Blood Pool—a sea of power that had accumulated since the Primal Chaos Dragon Sovereign's youth as hundreds of Dragons had shed their Infant Stage and thus their reverse Dragon Scales were also accumulated while the huge amount of Blood here was due to the Blood Sacrifice done by Descendants of Primal Chaos Dragon Sovereign to ensure security of his Reverse Scale though with time the scale used Suppression to control the entire place.
However, Long Chen was unable to obtain any of the Dragon Veins as they disaoowared as soon as Long Chen ebtered the room.
Now, with everything secured, Long Chen set off to reunite with his Dragon Blood Legion.
Before Heading out, Long Chen stood in solemn silence as he watched the soul of Elder Zhu Yan transfer into the Blooddrinker Saber. The ancient saber trembled slightly, exuding a faint crimson glow as if acknowledging its new guardian. With the WarSaint Barbarian's soul now residing within it, the weapon was no longer a mere tool—it had become a living entity, evolving with each battle, capable of growing stronger if nurtured with the right materials.
Zhu Yan, once a mighty warrior of the War Saint Barbarian Race, had willingly left his mortal coil behind, entrusting Long Chen with a powerful Core Blood Rune—an inheritance that carried his bloodline and essence. However, Long Chen had no intention of refining it himself. Though the power within it was undeniable, his path had already been set in stone. He had another weapon waiting for him.
As the exchange concluded, Yue Xiaoqian, the enigmatic maiden from the Original Devil Race, stepped forward. She had been watching silently, her expression filled with a mix of emotions—relief, admiration, and uncertainty.
"It is time for us to part ways," she finally said, her voice carrying a tinge of reluctance and sadness.
Long Chen met her gaze and sighed. He understood.
The Original Devil Race was feared and despised by the people of the Nine Heavens and Ten Earths. Though they were not inherently evil, they had been branded as outsiders—demons from beyond the veil. Despite their noble lineage, they were hunted, persecuted, and misunderstood.
Long Chen knew that traveling with him would only bring more danger to Yue Xiaoqian. Their destinies were intertwined, but for now, they had to walk separate paths.
"Take care of yourself," Long Chen said with a rare softness in his voice.
She nodded, but as she turned to leave, she hesitated for a moment.
But then Yue Xiaoqian was caught off-guard as Long Chen kissed her forehead as he said, "Good Night."
At first shy and embarrassed, then, without warning, she stepped closer and whispered, "We'll meet again."
With that, she vanished into the shadows, leaving Long Chen standing alone.
Long Chen smiled and said, "We will meet again and so will your sister."
With their paths diverging, Long Chen resumed his journey. The days that followed were relentless. He hunted and gathered treasures with unwavering focus, seeking out the most precious materials to strengthen himself and his allies.
After days of searching, he stumbled upon lots of treasure including an a powerful Beast from whom he got a powerful Rank-4 Beast Flame, a rare and powerful fire-type treasure that could vastly enhance his combat pill refinement.
Well almost a month as Long Chen had entered and he finally met all of Dragon Blood Legion in a serene mountain zone.
After greeting, they all met with each other in more familial manners planning for few uocoming events as well as telling about their spoils of war.
After Long Chen's story at end, Long Chen took out treasures and started giving out including the Reverse Dragon Scales and Dragon Blood.
There were more Scales than warriors, allowing each member to receive a unique inheritance. These opportunities weren't limited to any single element—dragons had always ruled over the myriad forces of nature, and their abilities reflected that and not to mention the strongest clan of Sovereign Dragon Race.
However, subduing the Dragon Scales was no small feat. Long Chen ordered each warrior, including his wives, to first refine the Dragon Blood and then oy at Xuantian Realm can they refine the The energy within these skills was simply too domineering—without a proper foundation, attempting to refine them prematurely could lead to devastating consequences.
To facilitate their training, each warrior received 100 drops of Dragon Blood, the maximum their bodies could handle at once and then add more as to the limit one's body could sustain. Their refinement process spanned two weeks, during which they underwent immense transformations.
Dragons weren't just powerful; they were also beings of unparalleled charisma and beauty in their human forms. As everyone refined the blood, their physiques evolved, their auras grew sharper, and their features became more refined.
Even girls, the most reserved members, found themselves radiating an ethereal presence after absorbing the potent essence of the Sovereign Race.
While most members successfully refined the Dragon Blood and Skills, one warrior stood apart—Fatty Yu Yong.
Hailing from the Phoenix Cry Empire, Yu Yong was one of the first sworn brothers of Long Chen. He was chosen by Elder Zhu Yan. Rather than taking in Dragon Blood, he refined the Barbarian Blood and Core Essence, a power that contained traces of Desolate Energy—a force that had long since vanished from the world during the Desolate Era.
This granted Yu Yong unparalleled physical strength and resilience, surpassing even those who had absorbed Dragon Blood. However, this power came at a price—he was the only one who did not inherit a Dragon Scale and he possibly couldn't as both the Barbarian Race and Myrad Beast Races were in opposition as most of the Barbarian Races devoured Beast races.
Among the warriors, one figure rose as an exceptional talent—Shi Feng. Unlike others, he not only refined the Dragon blood but also awakened a hidden bloodline within himself. His power skyrocketed, and his control over his new abilities surpassed expectations.
Over the course of two weeks, all present members of the Dragon Blood Legion successfully refined their Dragon Blood and strengthened their foundations. Their combined presence became suffocating, shaking the very heavens.
After ensuring his lovers, brothers and sisters had undergone their transformations, Long Chen turned his attention inward.
His path differed from the others so, Long Chen entered an intense period of training.
The Core Blood Essence present in the 10-Drops of Core Blood within the Primal Chaos Dragon Sovereign's Reverse Dragon Scale was something that Long Chen sought for now.
For two whole months, Long Chen tempered his body, bones, and meridians, refining the force of Destruction within him. His cultivation advanced at a monstrous pace, and by the time his training was complete, he had almost reached the very peak of the Tendon Transformation Realm--13th Heavenstage of Tendon Transformation Realm.
While Long Chen was secluded, his Dragon Blood Legion had also made incredible strides in various cultivation techniques and treasure they obtained within.
Despite reaching the peak of the Tendon Transformation Realm, Long Chen's true power far exceeded that level. His combat ability had now reached the peak of the Sea Forming Realm, making him nearly unstoppable.
And yet… something was missing.
Despite his growth, the formula for the Third Star of the Nine Star Hegemon Body Art had not yet revealed itself. Without it, he couldn't progress beyond his current stage in the Nine Star Hegemon Body Art.
Having reached a the desired stage, Long Chen resumed his journey.
He had gathered unparalleled resources, his warriors had grown stronger, and his own power had reached terrifying heights.
But this was only the beginning.
The path of the Nine Star Hegemon Body Art was still incomplete, and the battles ahead would only grow fiercer.
And so, with his Dragon Blood Legion behind him, Long Chen once again set out into the world.
The world was about to tremble beneath his might.
