Chapter 82 - Chapter 72

After entering through the northern gate of Mule, the same one we had exited, the group's mood noticeably brightened. Though no one spoke, their eager expressions betrayed their enthusiasm. If I had suggested training right then, they looked ready to collapse on the spot out of sheer determination.

I chuckled quietly and pulled a small pouch from my pocket, tossing it to An-Hyun. Surprised, he looked flustered, but fortunately, Yun-Jung intercepted it mid-air with a quick motion.

"Well done."

"Don't just praise us; give us a reward."

"Here you go."

Without resistance, I lifted the unconscious player I had been carrying and handed them over to Yun-Jung. She grumbled but accepted the burden anyway, grunting slightly under the weight. Watching her shift uncomfortably, I spoke again.

"You know where the Courteous Lady Inn is, right? Use this money to rent two rooms for a week. Get some dinner first; eat whatever you want. After that, head straight to the rooms and rest."

"What about you?"

"I've got some things to take care of with Vivienne. Plus, I need to file the expedition report."

"We could come wi—"

"It's easier alone. Just go ahead and relax. You've earned it."

Though Yun-Jung's face clouded momentarily, she soon nodded. She was clearly torn between wanting to stay and her pressing need for rest and food. Honestly, it was an annoying errand, but it needed to be done.

Once I sent them off, I was finally alone with Vivienne. She looked at me, pouted, and let out an exaggerated sigh.

"I really can't figure you out."

"What do you mean?"

"You and those girls."

Her sharp glare bore into me, and I silently mouthed, "Why?" in response. Vivienne, now pointing a finger at me, raised her voice as her frustration grew.

"The kids, I swear, they're like little chicks chirping and clinging to you. It's an eyesore, honestly. And you're no better. You can't seem to resist spoiling them. Watching you coddle them, I was dumbfounded. What next? Are you planning to pat their butts too?"

"That's just how I am."

"Really? Then maybe I should start whining and acting spoiled too. Would that be okay?"

Instead of replying, I simply raised my hand. Vivienne rolled her eyes and let out another exaggerated sigh. Just as she opened her mouth to unleash another round of complaints, I shifted my hand to gently rest it on her head.

"How's your body?"

"W-what?"

"I asked if your body's holding up okay."

Vivienne froze at my sudden question, her eyes darting around as she fumbled for words. Eventually, she glanced up at me cautiously and answered in a softer tone.

"It's... fine for now. Manageable. But this hand... um..."

I lightly ruffled her hair before turning away. I could hear her hesitating behind me before falling in step with me, keeping close. If we were going to work together, trust was essential, and occasionally showing kindness was part of getting the most out of the partnership.

The streets of Mule were noticeably livelier than they had been in the morning when we left. Most players seemed to be heading toward the temple to file their expedition reports, just as I was, though a few groups were heading out on expeditions even at this late hour. Watching them depart, I silently wished them luck.

Before heading to the temple, I made a quick detour to the player storage. Thankfully, the storage and temple were somewhat in the same direction, sparing me a significant detour. The closer we got to the temple, the busier the streets became, though it was still nothing compared to Babara's hustle and bustle.

Vivienne, however, was drawing quite a few stares. Embarrassed, she lowered her head and pressed herself closer to me. The soft sensation against my back was... pleasant, but it also invited envious and hostile glares from other players.

It was fortunate we were on the disciplined and orderly Northern Continent. If we'd been on the Western Continent, wandering around in such attire would be like broadcasting, "I'm here to be taken advantage of! Come and get me!" Not that I was too worried, though—once Vivienne regained her strength, she'd be a formidable asset. Most players wouldn't stand a chance against her and would likely be reduced to mere bones.

Upon reaching the player-exclusive storage, I quickly retrieved a bottle of elixir and all my gold coins. My current gold reserves exceeded 1,200, and if I sold the gems and miscellaneous items I had collected, it would amount to an extraordinary fortune—especially for a player at this stage. Having more money would undoubtedly make my future plans easier, and I already had a clear idea of where it would be spent. With a satisfied nod, I tucked the heavy pouch of coins securely into my pocket.

"What's that?"

Vivienne's curiosity piqued as I spun the small bottle filled with a bright golden liquid between my fingers. She leaned in closer, her nose nearly brushing against the glass.

"Elixir," I replied simply.

The impact of that single word was far greater than I had anticipated. Vivienne's face shifted into an expression I hadn't seen before, followed by a snort. She wiggled her fingers at me, demanding the bottle.

"Pfft."

"Do you even know what an elixir is?"

"Idiot. Alchemists make potions, and elixirs are considered the pinnacle of their craft. Fine, I'll humor you. Hand it over."

"Why don't you come and see for yourself?"

Grumbling, Vivienne craned her neck to examine the bottle closely. Her initial dismissiveness melted away as her gaze grew more serious. Just as she reached out to grab it, I pulled the bottle back. Her expression turned even graver, her earlier lightheartedness vanishing entirely.

"This… this is strange. Wait. Don't move it away; keep it closer."

"Why bother? You could just taste it and find out."

Without hesitation, I decided to act. Hesitation wasn't my style once I'd made up my mind. I uncorked the bottle, carefully poured a small amount into the cap, and handed it to her.

Vivienne sniffed the liquid cautiously before tipping the cap to her lips. She swallowed the small dose in one gulp.

"Hmm…"

"Well?"

"Just a moment… hmm? Huh? W-what…?"

Her initial thoughtful expression turned into wide-eyed shock as realization dawned. She froze, her lips parting slightly, as if fully grasping what was happening within her body.

I activated my third eye, channeling its power to thoroughly scan her. This time, I pushed its capabilities to the limit, determined to uncover every detail about what was happening inside her.

Is this really Vivienne's full strength after recovering all her power? I looked at her with a surprised expression, letting out a small exclamation. I'll say it again, for mages and priests, magical power stat points are the most important. Even if other stats are only around 30, if their magic exceeds 90, players are highly sought after by any clan. In the Hall Plain, mages were such beings.

I was especially curious about the abilities of <66 Master of the Monsters Legion>, who had been rated as A+++. A rare-class job isn't comparable to a Secret class, but it certainly has abilities that differ from general classes. Of course, if you level up a general class well, it can become powerful, but rare classes maximize efficiency in combat, and secret classes possess immense power. That's why any player would be eagerly looking forward to these two classes.

I gathered my thoughts and turned my gaze forward. Vivienne, who had been looking at her body with a panicked expression, now wore a desperate face. No, it wasn't just desperation—she looked completely out of it, her eyes lost, as if her mind had wandered.

A brief silence passed between us. But it was only for a moment. Finally, Vivienne, gritting her teeth, threw herself toward me.

"Give it to meee!"

"Ha!"

I immediately extended my hand and placed it on her face. She tried to swing her arms wildly to get closer, but it was futile. Even so, she continued to thrash around, desperately trying to grab the elixir in my hand.

"Give it! Give it! Give it to meee!"

"I can't just give it to you right away. What if you eat it and then act all innocent?"

"I won't do that! Really! So give it to me!"

I pushed her back forcefully, but Vivienne immediately charged at me again. I sighed and extended my hand once more. This time, however, I didn't reach for her head but aimed for her chest instead. The moment Vivienne rushed into my arms, I felt the soft, fleshy sensation of her boobs against my right hand. Oh. That felt good.

"Kaaaaaat!"

"Mmm. Good."

"Hmm? Mmm? Mmm?"

I shook my head as I stroked the soft breasts in my grasp. It had been a long time since I had touched a woman's breasts, and I felt a surge of pleasure. Vivienne lunged, startled, and tried to pull away again, but this time I grabbed her breasts and didn't let go, until they were practically falling out of my hands.

"What are you doing, get your hands off me, you idiot!"

"You idiot. I don't want anyone jumping on me."

She forcefully pried my hands away from hers, both of which were reaching for the elixir. I obediently withdrew my hand, though it hurt a little. I grabbed her a little harder, and Vivienne squeezed her breast gently, tears welling in her eyes.

"Sigh... What should I do... I've been tainted."

"You're making a big deal over just your chest. Anyway, this confirms that I have a way to treat you, right?"

As I put on a smug demeanor, Vivienne nodded frantically. Her eyes seemed to ask how I would give her the elixir, and I chuckled, continuing with my words.

"Since I've already decided to give it to you, just wait a little. I'll give it to you once you make one promise."

"I remember what you said inside the dungeon."

"You don't even know what you're trying to do."

At my sharp remark, Vivienne became silent, like a mute who had eaten honey. However, she hadn't yet regained the noble intellect she once had as an alchemist, and she was becoming desperate for the elixir. And at this moment, I saw an opening—a gap—that I was aiming for. If she showed resistance or an uncooperative attitude, it would be like throwing away the precious elixir. Therefore, I needed to prepare just enough.

"So, what do I need to do?"

"Heh heh. Let's make a contract."

"A contract?"

Seeing Vivienne tilt her head in confusion, I responded with a grin.

"Yes. A contract. First, let's go to the temple. We'll give an exploration report and write up the contract there."
