"You fought so hard to save her" he said, his head shaking "But ask yourself, Ava"
His silver eyes sparkled.
"Who is going to save her from herself?"
I yearned to bellow.
To deny the sight.
But as soon as I beheld the curl of darkness snaking along Emilia's fingers, I knew it was true.
I was late.
She already belonged to him.
