Chapter 27 - 27: Hell Unleashed ll

The air trembled.

Crackling pulses of distorted energy ripped open the sky and ground alike. Portals shimmered and twisted across the sports festival arena and far beyond, from Musutafu to Kamino and Hosu — an eruption of chaos.

From these gateways emerged an army of destruction: sentient Nomus, each tailored with surgical precision to counter specific heroes, and a wave of villains hungry for carnage.

BOOM!

A Nomu smashed through the south gate of the stadium, slamming its fists together as a cruel grin widened on its stitched face. Another leapt toward the stands — only for Mount Lady to tackle it mid-air, sending both crashing to the earth below in a massive CRASH!

"Evacuate the civilians!" Cementoss barked, raising massive walls to shield the panicking audience.

"You heard him! Move!" yelled Present Mic, using his quirk to guide the civilians toward the exits. Young hero students — Iida, Uraraka, Kirishima, and Yaoyorozu — sprang into action, forming human chains and supporting the evacuation effort.

Above it all, Hoshigami Enrai stood still, his arms crossed as he scanned the battlefield. The fabric of space tingled around him — something far more sinister was brewing, but it wasn't here yet.

'Not yet.'

Down below, chaos unfolded.

A black-winged Nomu dived from the sky with a shriek — THWACK! — Hawks intercepted it, feathers slicing through its torso, but the beast reformed instantly.

"These things regenerate faster than expected!" Hawks growled, dodging a spike aimed for his throat.

"Then hit harder!" Endeavor roared, launching a wave of searing flame at a Nomu wielding an anti-heat barrier quirk. But it walked right through the fire, unbothered.

"Tch! they're made for us. Bastards!"

From the eastern wall, Rappa from the Eight Bullets hurled himself into the fray, fists flying.

"COME ON! GIVE ME A FIGHT!"

"You want it?" snarled a pro hero, only to be knocked into a crater with a brutal

BAM!

Elsewhere, Nine floated over the ruins, his cloak fluttering, summoning storms and lightning. "This chaos, this is just the beginning."

Redestro crushed a steel platform under his stress-induced limbs.

"Crush their hope. This city will fall."

And then — Overhaul stepped forward, fingers twitching. With a single touch, a section of the arena floor exploded into jagged spikes, catching two unprepared heroes. Blood splashed across the stands.

"IMPOSSIBLE!" a young hero gasped.

"Where are they all coming from?!" shouted Edgeshot, slicing through a teleporting villain with narrowed eyes.

Through it all, Enrai moved like a shadow. Calm. Precise. His movements a storm wrapped in silence.

CRACK! THOOM! ZING!

He slammed one Nomu to the ground, its body buckling under invisible gravity pressure. Another lunged, only to be flung skyward with a tilt of his palm. Hoshigami's eyes flickered with faint glinstone echoes, a trace of the ancient power he still held back.

Another nomu stood out—hulking, with icey cracks running through its pitch-black body. A twisted grin stretched across its face, its eyes locked instantly onto Endeavor.

"Everyone stay back!" Endeavor shouted, flames roaring from his fists.

"This one's mine."

The Nomu responded with a guttural snarl, lunging forward. Its fists collided with Endeavor's flames, scattering embers across the field.

BOOOM!

The impact shook the stadium's foundation. Concrete shattered. Fire and wind collided with unnatural strength. The Nomu didn't hesitate—it struck again with unnatural speed, sending Endeavor sliding back across the arena, boots digging into the ground.

"Tch—this thing ,it's adapting!" he growled, wiping blood from his lip.

"It's built to counter me."

From above, Enrai watched silently. The stadium's edges were crumbling. Fissures spread like spiderwebs. The battle between fire and monstrosity lit up the field in bursts of orange and shadow.

The Nomu twisted its body unnaturally mid-air, dodging a massive Hell Spider slash, then slammed Endeavor into a wall of the stadium with a CRASH!

"Guh—!" Endeavor's ribs cracked. Blood dripped from his mouth.

Some students still near the edge of the arena looked on in horror.

"Is that the Nomu?! Like from the USJ?"

Kaminari gasped.

"No." Todoroki said, watching his father.

"This one's worse."

Meanwhile, more Nomus had joined the fray, some diving into clashes with other pro heroes. Midnight was holding her ground, Eraser Head had joined the evacuation effort, and Present Mic's voice boomed across the arena, coordinating defense.

"Civilians and students! Head to the safe zones now! This is not a drill!"

And still, the firestorm between Endeavor and his nemesis Nomu burned on.

Endeavor growled, reigniting his flames, "I'm not done yet!"

He launched himself upward in a spiral of fire, blasting the Nomu into the air.

"Prominence Burn!"

A deafening roar echoed across the arena as white-hot flame engulfed the monster.

But even as the smoke cleared, the Nomu crashed down hard, not dead—just charred.

Endeavor landed, panting, shoulders heaving, thinking,

'This… thing… was made to kill me.'

"They're targeting us. Each of us."

Another Nomu leapt toward Best Jeanist, its limbs hardened into metallic threads, resisting entanglement. Another clashed with Mirko—fast, agile, reinforced muscles and joints specifically enhanced to counter brute strength.

"Shit—these aren't just monsters!" Mirko yelled, leaping back as her kick was caught mid-air.

"They are built for us!"

Crimson Riot was already bleeding. A Nomu with acid-nullifying skin had overwhelmed him. Mt. Lady was pinned by one whose muscle mass grew exponentially every time it was struck. A Nomu with sonic resistance was charging Present Mic, ignoring his voice quakes completely.

This wasn't random chaos. It was war.

"Hell Spider!" Endeavor shouted, flames slicing forward.

BOOOM! The attack landed—but the Nomu was already inside the blast radius, moving unnaturally fast. Its palm ignited—not with fire, but a corrupted mimicry of it. Purple and black flames danced across its arms, a grotesque mockery of Endeavor's own power.

"WHAT—?" Endeavor barely had time to react as the Nomu's fist connected.

CRACK! He skidded across the field, blood splattering the ground. His body was scorched—

"IMPOSSIBLE!" one hero shouted, watching the Nomu dodge a team's combo move entirely, then slam one of them into the concrete with terrifying precision.

"Ha!" another Nomu cackled—a strange, unnatural vocalization—as it tore through the defenses of Yoroi Musha.

The stadium was collapsing, piece by piece. The arena was no longer a stage—it was a battlefield.

Young students, still helping with evacuations.

Creek——!

The ground cracked and split with eerie precision, not like an earthquake, but as though the earth itself bent in submission. From the gaping circular portal that opened at the center of the ruined stadium, a figure began to rise—calm, composed, and terrifying.

All motion ceased. Screams died in throats. The winds themselves seemed to retreat. And then he stepped out fully, draped in shadows, dressed in his signature black suit and metallic breathing mask. Each footfall echoed unnaturally across the silent battlefield.

All For One had arrived.

Gran Torino froze mid-step, his jaw clenched tight. "No! it can't be—-"

All Might's eyes widened in disbelief, breath caught in his chest.

"H-he's supposed to be comatose."

The air thickened as if gravity itself recoiled from the presence. A primal chill raced down spines—heroes and civilians alike instinctively stepped back. For the younger ones, it was their first time feeling true fear. For the veterans, it was a nightmare long buried.

All For One raised his head slightly, his tone unnervingly calm.

"Such a warm welcome. It's good to see so many familiar faces— trembling."

All Might stepped forward despite the weight pressing down on him. His voice strained, filled with anger and restrained emotion.

"Why?! Why show yourself now? What is it you want?!"

All For One tilted his head slightly, as if amused.

"Why?" he echoed, mockingly.

"Because it's time. Time to remind this world what true power looks like— what real terror feels like."

He gestured vaguely at the smoke-filled sky and the chaos erupting across the city.

"Your false peace ends today, All Might. Japan was built on a foundation of borrowed hope. I'm here to break it."

All Might growled, his fists clenched tightly.

"I won't let you."

All For One chuckled.

"You? You've already lost. You're but a shadow of the man who once stood above all."

Then, slowly, his gaze shifted, locking onto Enrai amidst the battleground. The weight of his presence shifted, darker, sharper.

"And you—-" he spoke with deliberate venom,

"Hoshigami Enrai I've heard of your acts ."

He raised a hand as if presenting something sacred.

"For someone like you! I've prepared a gift."

A cruel smile twisted behind the mask.

"I crafted it with care and it's eager to meet you."

Then came the laugh. Deep, slow, suffocating. It wasn't loud, but it reverberated through the bones of every soul present.

A sound that marked the arrival not just of a villain…

But of the apocalypse.
