In the kingdom of Acia,a deformed girl was said to be as useless as they get. In front of a barn,a boy gave his lady a lily and started to share a moment with her.
As they made out they started hearing noises from inside the barn.
It was the deformed girl. They pushed her to the ground and started mocking her. Piglet! No one cares about you! Those were some of the things they said to her along with abusing her physically.
After a year she was adopted into a pauper household. She was mistreated there too. Then came a day,her father,was beating her against his pig sty. As he was about to kill her,her mother begged for mercy. As tension increased between them,a troop of horse riders came in dashing. On one of the horses,a supreme mage stepped down.
"How much for a pig?" She asked.
"That'll be four wilpids." He replied as the mage approached his deformed daughter.
"How much for her?" The mage said with a grin on her face.
"Two wilpids." He replied.
Two wilpids? Is that all I'm worth? My own father! Thought the girl. Her mother begged them not to take her away but all of her efforts proved pointless at the end. The girl struggled, searching for a chance to break free. Then she stopped moving to show as sign of rebellion. She was wiped greatly by the mage who held a magic lasso. As the girl cried while being flogged, a small portal opened beneath her feet and she fell through it. The portal closed. She fainted.
Then she woke,found herself in what seemed to be a temple. The pillars of the temple were made of bones. She got scared. She started hearing footsteps and they only got louder and louder. She saw a man approaching the alter which seemed to have a book of spells on it. Who was he?
His eyes were green in colour, his was light skinned. Has bright and smooth pink lips.
"How did you get here?" He asked luring her out of hiding.
"I don't know." She replied, her voice trembling.
"What's your name?" He asked again.
"Evelyn of Acia. You?" She replied.
"Frederick the mage of the temple of Azureta." He replied stretching forth his hand. This was the beginning of a new friendship that would last for decades.
He'd cared for her for about two years now. He provided clothing, shelter, hospitality, food,etcetera. He'd call her extraordinary and say things like.
" You have so much potential, you'll outshine the world." Those tickled her.
Then she started asking him questions.
"Um.. What book is that?" Referring to the book he was reading on the altar.
"The book of magix."
"Magic? As in elves,dryads,nymphs, trolls,etc?" She said in great marvel.
"Exactly that."
"They were the original users of magic. They had it in their blood." He said as his voiced toned deeper.
"Wanna hear a secret?" He said mysteriously.
He made reference to the pillars of bones. He explained that after the magix taught us humans how to use magic,the humans hunted every magix down,leaving only few in existence.
He said that the pillars of this temple was made of the bones of elves and dryads to be exact.
Then he approached her,held her hands and kissed her. The spark from their kiss made a small flower grow from the elven bones.
"How did you do that?" Frederick asked.
"I think I can do magic. I'm quarter elf!" Evelyn said with a grin on her face.
Every now and then,they'd make love to each other.
Then came a night when Matilda, the supreme mage from two years ago,found her. She forced her to come with her into a small apprenticeship program for the kings new mage. Was this the end.
