Hunter's SUV tore down the highway, its tires eating up the distance between them and Mark's hideout.
The air inside the felt thick with tension as he drove on full speed. He didn't mind that he was carrying detective Coleman and his partner in the car or that another police car was following them.
All he wanted was to get there as soon as possible before Mark figured out they were on to him and moved away from his current location.
"I could still book you for driving over the speed limit, you know?" Coleman said and Hunter turned to scowl at him.
"I could make you lose your job if he disappears with her before we get there, you know?" Hunter retorted.
