"Drip——Drip——"
The city at night remained bustling, but the room inside this high-rise building was exceptionally quiet. The indicator lights on the healing chamber flickered on and off, emitting a faint sound, which was particularly clear in the darkness.
An hour later, the side light of the chamber's door lit up, followed by the door's exhaust opening, and the man inside sat up. He touched his chest and back and found that the wounds had begun to heal, which greatly eased his mood.
"This task was really tough," he spat out simply, recalling the young man he encountered tonight.
At first, he thought it was a simple matter, but unexpectedly, the sudden outburst of the other party not only disrupted his rhythm but also, in some unknown way, brought reinforcements. Logically speaking, he had blocked the surrounding surveillance at the beginning and destroyed the other party's electronic devices, so there should have been no way to immediately contact anyone else.
