After returning to Tang Village, Tang Shu experienced that long-missed life.
There was none of the city's hustle and bustle, no work worries, and every morning when she woke up she could see the snow-covered mountaintops outside the window. If she went out for a stroll to breathe some fresh air, with a little luck she might even encounter wild rabbits or wild boars.
Back home, in the cellar beneath Tang Village, several kinds of easily stored vegetables were buried deep, alongside the black frozen pears, and just lighting a fire would make the room toasty warm, completely unlike the winter cold of dozens of degrees below zero outside.
In the living room, Tang Shu cradled a cup of black tea, took a gentle sip, and let the warm liquid glide into her mouth as she sighed with contentment.
Life was indeed very comfortable.
