Utatane couldn't bear to keep looking at the horrifying sight and quietly reminded the Third Hokage.
"Danzo is now a disgraced figure in the village. It would be better to handle this discreetly and bury him as soon as possible. If word spreads, who knows how many people might cheer about it."
"Hmm."
The Third Hokage, lost in memories, snapped out of it and nodded slightly.
Just as he was about to instruct someone to cut down the tree that Danzo had become and preserve part of it as his "remains," the night sky outside suddenly lit up.
Colorful fireworks shot into the sky and exploded, drawing the attention of countless villagers.
Curious about the spectacle, people turned their gaze toward the Uchiha compound, wondering what grand event the Uchiha clan was celebrating to warrant fireworks—a rare sight indeed.
The fireworks were stunning but glaringly provocative to the Third Hokage, as though mocking him and his advisors.
"Who's setting off fireworks? Why aren't the Uchiha doing anything about it?"
Seeing the Third Hokage's face grow darker, Utatane quickly stepped forward to question the ANBU members.
Danzo had died, a significant and sensitive event for the village, yet someone was setting off grand fireworks.
The display, celebratory and elaborate, felt like sharp needles piercing the old advisors' hearts.
The ANBU squad glanced nervously at one another, unsure whether to report the truth.
"Judging by the direction, the fireworks are coming from the Uchiha compound. Are they hosting some kind of event?"
The Third Hokage asked in an even tone, though his eyes betrayed his simmering anger.
The ANBU captain reluctantly answered, "Lord Third, according to our investigation, today is Uchiha Kazuki's coming-of-age birthday. The Uchiha decided to hold a grand celebration and invited many guests."
A Grand Celebration? For a Birthday?
The Third Hokage was stunned for a few seconds before his face turned red with fury. Gasping, he began coughing uncontrollably.
"How dare they!"
Utatane was so enraged that she stomped her feet. Mitokado, on the other hand, remained silent, his face grim.
It was clear to everyone that the Uchiha were doing this intentionally.
Knowing about Danzo's death, they had taken the opportunity of Kazuki's birthday to throw an extravagant party, openly celebrating the event.
"Shut them down immediately!" Koharu, trembling with anger, yelled at the ANBU squad.
"Yes, ma'am!"
The ANBU didn't dare delay and quickly left the hospital for the Uchiha compound.
---
Inside the Uchiha Compound.
A grand birthday party for a coming-of-age ceremony was unprecedented. Initially, even many Uchiha members didn't understand why Fugaku had ordered such a large-scale event.
But when Fugaku announced the news of Danzo's death, the entire Uchiha clan erupted with excitement.
Motivated and enthusiastic, they threw themselves into organizing the celebration.
Under Fugaku's command, the clan spared no expense, ensuring the party was as extravagant as possible. For the Uchiha, this was a day worth celebrating with unmatched grandeur.
---
At the entrance to the Uchiha compound, the ANBU team hesitated.
"Captain, are we really going in?"
Looking at the brightly lit and bustling Uchiha compound, the squad members felt uneasy.
Interrupting such an event didn't seem like a wise decision.
"If we don't go in, how do we report back to the advisors?" The captain snapped.
"You think I want to do this? This is a no-win situation for us."
At that moment, Kazuki appeared, as if anticipating their arrival.
"Good evening, gentlemen. Today is a joyous occasion for the Uchiha. If you have business with us, please come back tomorrow."
The ANBU captain hesitated but stepped forward.
"Lord Kazuki, something unfortunate happened at the hospital this morning. The Third Hokage and the advisors aren't in the best of moods. Would you consider postponing the celebration?"
Kazuki crossed his arms, his gaze growing cold. "Did the Third Hokage die?"
"Uh…" The captain froze, quickly shaking his head.
"No, of course not. Lord Third is in good health. It's just that—"
"If the Third isn't dead, why should we stop celebrating?" Kazuki's lips curled into a faint sneer.
"Today is my coming-of-age celebration. My clan is graciously hosting a party for me. What's wrong with that? Or is there some rule that prohibits the Uchiha from celebrating?"
The ANBU captain cursed silently. 'I knew this would happen!'
Caught between the fiery temper of the advisors and Kazuki's unyielding demeanor, he felt like pulling his hair out.
Kazuki's voice dripped with icy defiance.
"If you want us to stop, fine. Let the Hokage issue a direct order. Otherwise, no one has the authority to dictate how the Uchiha celebrate."
"Understood, Lord Kazuki."
Relieved that Kazuki wasn't taking his frustration out on them directly, the ANBU left without further resistance.
Once they were gone, Fugaku approached with several other clan members.
After exchanging a glance, Kazuki smiled and said, "The issue has been resolved. Carry on with the celebration—eat, drink, and enjoy yourselves. No need to hold back."
Danzo's death had nothing to do with Kazuki personally.
If the Hokage and advisors wanted to publicize it, they could try.
But Kazuki doubted they had the nerve.
Just as the festivities were in full swing, a report came in.
"Clan leader, the Hyuga clan leader has arrived with gifts."
"What?"
Fugaku froze, dumbfounded.
Even Kazuki rubbed his forehead in disbelief.
The invitations were mostly symbolic—meant to stir the pot and make the Uchiha's actions known to the village.
No one expected actual guests to show up, let alone the Hyuga clan leader himself.
"You handle this," Kazuki said, raising his hands in mock surrender. "This one's on you."
But the surprises didn't stop there.
The arrival of the Hyuga seemed to act as a signal. Soon after, the Ino-Shika-Cho trio showed up with gifts.
Seeing prominent clans taking the lead, other families that had been hesitant decided to follow suit, sending representatives with congratulatory gifts.
What was initially meant to be a symbolic gesture turned into a full-fledged celebration, larger and more extravagant than anyone had anticipated.
