Aiden's body moved on instinct.

The Necrosword whistled past his head, cutting through the air with a shriek that made his dragon scales tremble. Even without touching him, the sheer malice of the blade sent a sharp, piercing agony through his senses, like his soul was being flayed open just from being near it.

He rocketed upwards, wings bursting out in a surge of divine wind, his body radiating a blinding holy light. The power of his White Dragon Slayer Magic condensed in his palm, the radiant glow almost like a miniature sun.

But before he could release it—

Mjolnir struck his back.

The hammer slammed into his spine with a force that sent every nerve in his body screaming. His bones shattered on impact, his vision exploded into pure white agony, and then—

BOOM.

He was sent crashing into the earth like a meteor, the sheer impact carving a massive trench through the battlefield. His body bounced violently, each impact sending fresh waves of pain through his already broken frame. Blood splattered across the ground in thick, steaming trails as his body finally came to a grinding halt, smoke and dust rising in thick plumes around him.

A shadow loomed over him.

Thor descended slowly, the air crackling with an unholy presence. His once-pristine Asgardian armor was tattered and drenched in golden blood, yet his wounds no longer bled. The Necrosword's dark energy had fused into his flesh, closing every injury, leaving only pure malice in its wake.

His one good eye, now pitch black, locked onto Aiden with an empty, predatory gaze.

Then, he moved.

Aiden barely had time to react before Mjolnir crashed into his chest.

CRACK!

His ribs snapped like brittle twigs, fragments of bone piercing into his organs. His body lurched violently as he was launched backwards, skidding across the ground as blood gushed from his mouth, the metallic taste filling his throat.

But Thor was already there.

Aiden barely had a second to summon a torrent of water, forming an impenetrable barrier of azure waves between them. The water, infused with his Dragon Slayer Magic, surged forward like a holy tsunami, roaring with unstoppable force.

The Necrosword tore through it.

Effortlessly.

Aiden's eyes widened in horror as the blade split his magic in half, cutting through it like it was nothing more than mist. Before he could process what happened—

A fist buried itself into his stomach.

BANG!

His entire body folded around Thor's punch, his insides twisting violently from the sheer force. Blood and bile erupted from his mouth, his organs rupturing on impact. The punch alone sent him soaring through the air, his vision spinning as he tried to grasp at anything—

THWACK!

Mjolnir met him midair, slamming into his side with the force of a falling star. His scales cracked, his arm was nearly torn from its socket, and his body was sent crashing into the remains of a ruined temple, the walls collapsing around him in a violent explosion of dust and debris.

Aiden coughed—wet, broken, bloody.

His body twitched violently, the excruciating pain flooding his entire existence. His Water Dragon Slayer Magic worked frantically to heal him, but it was slow, painful, agonizing. The wounds closed, but the trauma remained.

And Thor… wasn't done.

The ground cracked beneath his feet as the God of Thunder landed, his blackened aura spreading across the battlefield like an endless abyss.

Aiden forced himself to move.

His wings beat violently, summoning a gale of divine wind that carried him upwards. His White Dragon Slayer Magic flared, forming countless blades of holy light that rained down upon Thor like a divine judgment.

Each blade pierced through the battlefield, their radiance blinding, their energy pure and absolute.

Thor didn't move.

The Necrosword pulsed.

And then—

Aiden watched in horrified shock as every single holy blade disintegrated.

The light that should have burned through the darkness was instead swallowed whole, consumed by the blade of the abyss.

Then Thor appeared before him.

Too fast. Way too fast.

The Necrosword swung.

Aiden dodged—barely. The blade grazed his shoulder, but the pain was unimaginable. It wasn't like a normal cut—it was as if his very essence was being shredded apart, his soul unraveling at the seams.

He screamed.

His vision blurred as his blood sprayed, staining the air dark red.

But Thor was already swinging again.

SLASH!

The Necrosword tore into his abdomen.

Aiden choked as he felt his stomach split open, the blade carving through flesh, muscle, and bone like they were nothing. His insides spilled out, his intestines barely held together by his dragon scales.

He tried to move.

Tried to breathe.

Tried to do anything.

Mjolnir struck his skull.

His entire world shattered.

His vision exploded into white-hot agony, his skull fracturing under the divine hammer's force. His body went limp as he crashed back down, landing in a bloody heap, his breathing nothing more than shallow gasps.

His water tried to heal him.

His wind tried to push him away.

His light tried to protect him.

But it wasn't enough.

Thor walked toward him.

His expression was no longer one of rage.

It was simply… empty.

Like he wasn't even there anymore.

The Necrosword pulsed.

Aiden's vision flickered. His body screamed in pain, but he had no choice.

He reached out.

His fingers grasped at the blackened void, his entire being desperate for power. If the light wouldn't work—

Then he would take the dark.

The moment his fingers touched the Necrosword's aura—

His body erupted in agony.

An unholy energy surged into his veins, burning through his very soul. His insides twisted, ruptured, shattered, regenerated, then broke apart again. His veins turned black, his scales cracked, his blood boiled as the corruptive force ate away at him from the inside.

{Unable to Absorb Divine Slaying Magic}

Aiden screamed.

Aidan barely had time to breathe before Mjolnir crashed into his ribs, detonating with a thunderous blast of divine lightning. His body convulsed, his Dragon scales sizzling as he tumbled through the air, smoke trailing behind him. He gritted his teeth, feeling his bones crack under the immense force.

Aidan barely had time to register the system messages before a shadow loomed over him. Thor was already there, swinging the Necrosword in a vicious arc. Aidan raised his arms, summoning a barrier of holy light, but the blade carved through it like parchment, severing his defense in an instant. The edge of the sword grazed his chest, and suddenly, pain—real, soul-crushing pain—erupted from his body.

The Necrosword wasn't just cutting him. It was unmaking him.

Blood burst from his mouth as he shot downward like a comet, slamming into the ruins of the fallen castle. His Dragon form should have healed the wound in seconds, yet the gash across his chest refused to close, the dark energy spreading like a venomous infection.

Thor descended like a god of war, landing with such force that the ground shattered beneath his feet. His face was void of emotion, his glowing eyes locked onto Aidan with nothing but sheer, merciless judgment.

{Unable to Absorb Lightning God King Slayer Magic.}

{Gained! Lightning God Slayer Magic}

Aidan's eyes widened as the final message rang. Then, like a tidal wave, power surged through his veins.

{Lightning Dragon Slayer Magic is Fusing with Lightning God Slayer Magic}{Lightning Dragon God Slayer Magic}

A new force erupted from within him, an overwhelming storm of purple lightning crackling across his skin. His muscles surged with newfound strength, his movements no longer bound by weight or hesitation. His body—his very essence—became lightning itself.

Mjolnir came again. This time, he didn't dodge. He caught it.

"I AM DAMN WORTHY"

Thor's eyes widened in shock as the divine hammer crackled in Aidan's grip, but its power did not harm him. No, he was absorbing it. The golden lightning that once tore through his body now surged into him, mixing with his own. The storm that was Thor's greatest weapon was now Aidan's to command.

Thor's frown deepened. Then, without hesitation, his form shifted.

His golden aura twisted, darkening into pure black energy, his body dissolving into shadows. The lightning that had once surrounded him vanished entirely, as if he had simply discarded it.

That's when Aidan knew.

Thor wasn't fighting him seriously before.

The God of Thunder didn't even need his lightning anymore.

Aidan moved—faster than sound, faster than light—his claws crackling with pure destruction. He struck out, his entire body a storm of purple fury, tearing through the battlefield like a wrathful god. His attacks came in an unrelenting storm, ripping through the air, aiming for every opening he could find.

It didn't matter.

Every strike was met with the Necrosword. Every movement, no matter how fast, was countered instantly.

Thor was always one step ahead.

Aidan's newfound power meant nothing. The Necrosword was the problem. It was an anti-divinity weapon, a blade forged to kill gods. His body, his magic, his Dragon form—it all meant nothing against a weapon designed to slay things like him.

His chest was cut open.

His leg was torn apart.

His arm was nearly severed at the elbow.

His water magic healed him, but the pain never stopped. The Necrosword didn't just wound him—it corrupted him, infecting his body with darkness, making every second unbearable.

The battle raged on.

The castle fell.

The Resistance soldiers stopped fighting, their weapons lowered, their eyes filled with fear. It didn't matter if they won against the Asgardian forces. It didn't matter if they pushed back against the might of the gods.

As long as Thor stood, they would all die.

Aidan was their only hope.

And he knew—deep down—that he couldn't win.

But he had to.

For his father.

For Elsa.

For Valeria.

For everyone who was watching him fight, believing—praying—that he could do the impossible.

He had to win.

But in the end…

The Necrosword stabbed through his chest.

Aidan's breath hitched, his eyes widening in shock. The pain—the pain—was unbearable. He could feel the blade draining him, his magic, his strength, his very soul being carved away.

His body collapsed backward, his vision blurring.

He had tried.

God Knows, he had tried.

But he had lost.
